Celebrities have millions upon millions of dollars and most of these stars may never have to work another day in their life if they quit Hollywood. However, there are a handful of celebs who quietly work a regular job, aside from their careers as singers or actors, proving that they are just like us and have passions that go beyond the movies and songs they create.

These A-list stars who also work a regular job are proud coffee shop owners, are working as neuroscientists, and are even farmers. These celebs have more than the talents we see on the big screen, but they have managed to keep their second passions way more private, seemingly wanting normalcy in their lives.

10 Nick Offerman, Woodworker

Fans recognize Nick Offerman from shows like Parks & Recreation and he currently lends his voice for the new FOX animated series The Great North, starring as Beef Tobin. However, when Offerman isn't acting, he is keeping busy in his L.A. woodshop, crafting home goods for anyone who wants to purchase them.

On his website, Offerman sells anything from tables to custom boats and beds. When talking to the Los Angeles Times about his passion, he shared, "I tell people that making things with my hands keeps me out of the pub."

9 Jeremy Renner, Flips Houses

Actor Jeremy Renner is quietly flipping homes when he isn't starring in the latest Marvel movies. According to Bloomberg, the star has been flipping houses for over 15 years and has bought and remodeled over 20 homes.

Give Renner any old home, and he'll make it look like the home of your dreams. The star has a great eye and has flipped 1920's art deco homes to a cabin in Lake Tahoe. He once shared, "There's a lot of great old architecture out there," adding, "you just have to reimagine it with today's living standards."

8 Mayim Bialik, Neuroscientist

Everyone knows Mayim Bialik from her role on The Big Bang Theory. The actress starred as Amy Farrah Fowler on the sitcom from season four until its final twelfth season and her character was known to have a Ph.D. in neurobiology.

Interestingly enough, Bialik does hold a Ph.D. in neuroscience in real life. While the star has been acting since she was a teenager, it was her biology tutor who inspired her to fall in love with science. Bialik pursued her dreams in science while continuing to hold a career in acting, and earned her Ph.D. at UCLA.

7 Brian May, Astrophysicist

Besides being a member of one of the greatest rock bands there ever was, Queen guitarist Brian May is also known as an astrophysicist. According to CNBC, before May joined Queen in 1971, he was studying the physics of astronomy. Finally, in 2007, the bandmember received his Ph.D. in astrophysics and his thesis he had been working on all those years was about the "zodiac dust" that gets collected in the solar system.

His background came in handy when he released his new song, "New Horizons," in 2019, which honor's NASA's spacecraft of the same name.

6 Bruce Dickinson, Pilot

Another rockstar that can appreciate working a regular job is Iron Maiden's lead vocalist Bruce Dickinson. When he isn't on stage among thousands of fans, Dickinson can be found flying planes.

Dickinson learned to fly recreationally in the 90s, and now holds an airline transport pilot's license, according to Rare. The rock legend was also a captain of U.K. charter airline, Astraeus Airlines and flew Boeing 575 planes. Dickinson even flew the large aircraft for his band's Somewhere Back In Time World Tour gear.

5 Tom Selleck, Farmer

Tom Selleck's break-out role was playing private investigator Thomas Magnum in Magnum, P.I. throughout the 80s. He's been in countless films and television shows throughout his career but has pretty much left Hollywood to focus on his second passion.

Selleck has been farming avocadoes for over thirty years now. The actor purchased a 30-acre ranch in California when he was at the top of his game in Hollywood, but apparently, the star doesn't even like avocadoes, according to Unbranded News. Selleck also has a friendly rivalry with actor Jamie Foxx, who also owns an avocado farm.

4 Dexter Holland, Molecular Biologist

Dexter Holland is best known as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the rock band The Offspring. But, in 2017, this rocker graduated from the University of Southern California with a doctorate in molecular biology, after putting his studies on hold to continue touring with his band.

Holland's dissertation focused on HIV and immunodeficiency viruses when he was finishing up his studies, sharing, "My research is not meant to be a cure or even an immediate step toward a cure, but I believe that by adding to the vast amount of information that we've learned about HIV in the last 30 years or so, we'll get there."

3 Hugh Jackman, Coffee Shop Owner

Aside from his amazing acting skills, Hugh Jackman is a proud coffee shop owner. The Wolverine star launched the Laughing Man coffee company in 2011 after a trip to Ethiopia. Jackman shared that he was inspired by a young coffee farmer and launched the company "to provide a marketplace for farmers in developing countries to sell their goods to consumers in the U.S."

Coffee drinkers can find the Laughing Man cafes in lower Manhattan in New York City, and it is said to have some of the best coffee in the city.

2 Rita Wilson, Editor

Actress Rita Wilson and the wife of Tom Hanks was named editor-at-large of Huffington Post Media Group's website Huff/Post 40 back in 2011. Wilson has been in countless films, including Sleepless in Seattle and Jingle All the Way, but this is her first job in which she's behind the scenes rather than in front of a camera.

When Wilson was named editor of the site, she shared, "Issues related to being forty have always intrigued me. My mom and dad always used to say, 'Life begins at forty.' The idea that we boomers are somehow supposed to wind things down as we get older has completely escaped me.'"

1 Paul Rudd, Sweet Shop Owner

Paul Rudd is just one of a few celebrities who own their own candy shops. Rudd and actor pal Jeffrey Dean Morgan, are the owners of Samuel's Sweet Shop, located in Rhinebeck, New York.

The two stars bought the small candy store when the owner passed away, saving the business from closing completely. Rudd can be regularly seen visiting the shop and sipping on coffee.
