Highest Paid Television Actor

Charlie Sheen has had quite a successful career as both a film and television actor, however, things have certainly changed for the star and it appears as if his reputation has cost him a lot of opportunities in the last decade. While Charlie Sheen was born into Hollywood, considering his father was Martin Sheen, the actor allowed Hollywood to get to his head and led him down a path of self-destruction.

Before Charlie Sheen was all about "winning" and "tiger blood", he was the highest-paid television actor for many years. Many of us know Charlie from his early work back in the 80s and 90s, however, Sheen certainly made a name for himself during his time on "Two And A Half Men", in which he appeared on from 2003 to 2011 with co-stars Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones.

Charlie scored the lead on the hit show a year after marrying Denise Richards, who was known for her career as an actress and being a bond girl back in 1999, however, things turned sour come 2005 when the two separated for good. It was at this moment that Charlie's private life began to deteriorate, however, his career had never been better.

Sheen was making upward to $1.8 million per episode during his time on "Two And A Half Men" and later on made $2 million per episode during his stint on "Anger Management". With 30 years in the business and two hit television shows under his belt, Charlie Sheen managed to amass a net worth of $150 million, however, most of that has since disappeared.

Charlie's Turbulent Lifestyle

By 2011, Charlie Sheen had endured quite a lot of tribulations throughout his personal life, which included substance abuse, domestic violence and scandals surrounding the stars life in the bedroom. While Charlie managed to secure his spot on "Two And A Half Men" for over 8 years, the star was fired after making comments about the shows creator, Chuck Lorre.

Charlie referred to Lorre as a "clown" and a "stupid, stupid little man", which obviously did not sit well with the man who was paying Sheen almost $2 million per episode. It was at this time that Charlie was fired from the show due to his "dangerously self-destructive conduct”. Warner Bros decided to terminate Sheen's contract right then and there without any notice to Charlie himself, which was a massive shock considering how much the star was making.

It was made clear that Charlie Sheen was not in a great space, despite assuring the public that he was "sober" after having come out of rehab back in January 2012. Due to his issues surrounding drugs, alcohol, rehabilitation, lawyer fees, divorce costs, payable visits to his home with women Charlie had just met and his outlandish social media posts not only cost him the once in a lifetime job opportunity but millions of dollars!
