It's probably not accurate to say that Charlie Sheen is a fan favorite. But what is true is the fact that the public finds him fascinating, and it always seems like something is happening to get him in the headlines.

From his marriages (there have been three) to his divorces (also three) and raising his five kids, Charlie Sheen's a busy guy. But at this point, the fact that he welcomed a child with his then-high school girlfriend is old news.

It's also no longer news that Charlie was married to and had two daughters with Denise Richards. The girls were born in 2004 (Sam) and 2005 (Lola), though People reported that at the time of Lola's arrival, Charlie and Denise were already estranged.

Still, the three-time dad arrived at the hospital to welcome Lola. People also stressed the fact that though Denise was pursuing full custody of the kids post-split, she wanted to enforce visitation for Charlie. There's even more that fans never knew about the pair's relationship, though.

So, by the time Charlie married Brooke Mueller in 2008, he and Denise were more or less on the same page with raising their two girls. Plus, InTouch Weekly confirmed, when the twins arrived, Charlie had his priorities in order.

Of his sons Bob and Max's premature birth, Charlie told InTouch Weekly, "They’re relying on me to make the right choices so they can have the life they deserve." As far as the drama between Brooke and Charlie versus Denise? "Denise is totally great, and it’s water under the bridge," said Brooke.

Then again, that was back in 2009, when Bob and Max had just arrived. A lot has happened since then, including Denise tending to her former husband's twins while he worked out his personal struggles. Though, fans speculate that the moment things started going downhill for Sheen was actually decades ago.

Regardless, there was a time when Brooke called the authorities to have the twins removed from Sheen's home, which she stated wasn't safe for the boys. Now, the boys are nearly tweens, and it's easy to see the family resemblance (in the few photos fans get to glimpse).

In 2019, PageSix reported that Brooke was still on a downward spiral. While Charlie didn't have full custody of Max and Bob, neither did Brooke; the publication stated that Brooke's mom was caring for the boys while she was receiving treatment.

And apparently, Charlie wasn't going to pursue having the boys full-time. Instead, he preferred to let things lie, allowing Brooke the choice to have her family step in. But of course, Charlie's also been working on himself in recent years, celebrating a sobriety milestone and continuing to lie low in terms of social media (and new projects).
