In this day and age, it often seems like people don’t know how to describe stars without being incredibly hyperbolic. After all, when an actor starred in one hit movie several years ago, it probably doesn’t make a lot of sense to refer to them as legends. Of course, there have been a handful of stars over the years that have accomplished so much during their lives that it only makes sense to call them all-time greats.
When it comes to the most legendary singers of all time, there is no way to put together a complete list of the top performers without including Cher. After all, Cher has released so many hit songs over the years that it is safe to say that her music has provided the soundtrack for a lot of major moments in people’s lives. On top of that, she remains relevant enough to this day that people were overjoyed when Cher promised to take Britney Spears on vacation once her conservatorship ends.
Given the fact that that Cher has been a star for so many years, it should go without saying that she has rubbed elbows with a lot of extremely famous people. However, it is pretty shocking to know Cher feuded with Madonna for many years and she once left one of the most famous people of all time feeling rejected.

When famous people date, that typically results in headlines in a wide array of magazines and tabloids. Since Cher has been famous for decades, it makes sense that most of the people she has known over the years have been well known themselves. On top of that, since she has had a healthy dating life during her adult years, it makes sense that Cher has been romantically linked to several different stars over the years.
Of course, Cher’s most famous relationship has always been her marriage to Sonny Bono as a result of the fact that the pair performed together for years. On the other end of the spectrum, a lot of people have completely forgotten that at one time or another Cher has been gotten involved with stars like Tom Cruise, Eric Clapton, Gene Simmons, and Anthony Kiedis.

During his life, Elvis Presley became so incredibly famous that it became impossible for him to do many of the things that the rest of us take for granted. For proof of just how well known he was during his life, all anyone has to do is look at the fact that Elvis’ daughter Lisa Marie has been famous all of her life almost entirely because of who her dad is. Amazingly enough, even since Elvis passed away, his music has remained so celebrated that he is far more famous than many of the biggest stars of any given year.
Of course, when most people think about his love life, it is Elvis’ relationship with his ex-wife Priscilla that comes to mind first. On top of that, it is pretty well known that at the time of Elvis’ passing, he was engaged to a woman named Ginger Alden. However, most people have no idea that at one point, Elvis came incredibly close to being linked to another legend as he nearly went on a date with Cher.
In addition to Cher’s music career, she has been an actor for many years. As a result, she knows what it feels like to almost land a legendary film role only to miss out on that opportunity. With that in mind, she should know how rotten Elvis Presley must have felt when he asked Cher out only for her to pull a no-show. Despite that, in 2013 when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live, Cher revealed that Elvis asked her to spend the weekend with him and she stood him up.
A few years earlier, during a 2010 appearance on Late Show with David Letterman, the show’s host asked Cher about her reported relationships from the past. Keeping in mind the fact that most male celebrities who’ve dated a lot of female stars don’t get grilled about their relationships, that line of questioning was pretty tasteless. After all, at one point in the segment, Cher states that Letterman’s line of questioning about her past relationships is “beneath” the host. That said, it was fascinating to see the typically unflappable Cher admit she once had the chance to date Elvis Presley but she didn’t because she “got nervous”. Furthermore, Cher stated “I wish that I had” while talking about the prospect of dating Elvis.
