Cher is no stranger in talking about sensitive issues, and that is shown in her recent tweet regarding George Floyd. This time, however, she has been getting criticized on Twitter.

The "Believe" singer's conversation with her mother was definitely devastating as she cried while watching the trial of Derek Chauvin, but Cher wondered if she was there, she could have saved the late George's life.

Some fans know deep down that Cher's heart is in the right place, but others are telling the singer that the Minnesotan man's death is not about her.

Cher is definitely someone who shows extreme sympathy for those that lost their lives or have gone through issues, and that is never a bad thing. Twitter users such as @Iconiecon replied to Cher's tweet, panning it for a white person like her inserting in black people's pain, and told her that she shouldn't have tweeted something like that.

@LivisAlibi replied similarly, stating that Cher's intentions are harmless, but states that a black person shouldn't always rely on a white person to stand up for themselves. Despite her stance, the Twitter user hopes that Cher can learn from people bashing her for her thoughts.

Some Twitter users nearly ratioed Cher in likes, with @xoJoyBelleox currently having the most likes out of the Twitter replies at 11k likes (and going higher as time goes on).

From using memes, gifs, and other forms of media in their replies, their algorithms have gotten a lot of attention just as fast as Cher's tweet, but in a smaller time frame as Cher tweeted last night, while the replies only came out just mere hours ago.

However, there are fans who have defended Cher's sympathetic tweet, with @chaunceydevega stating that people's hearts are hardened from fascism and white supremacy, and praised the singer for speaking her truth of solidarity. @Wirjil also defended Cher, calling out on the people who roasted her and mentioned that Cher is not a superhero in memes while also stating that it’s about her feelings of devastation and anger.

Another user, @TCherUniverse showed photos of Cher fighting against police violence and fascism for over 55 years, which shows where she stands for civil rights and willing to help minorities regardless of their background.

Twitter users will always find a way to criticize anyone in social issues, even with the best intentions, but it's never wrong to think of what happened if she was there and could help.
