Nine years ago, a Kansas-based Chick-fil-A decided to hold a Daddy-Daughter Date Night. The event was such a success that hundreds of locations across the country have embraced the tradition. Though each franchise puts their own spin on the occasion, the idea is to celebrate the bond between parents and children.

Most restaurants will add tablecloths, flowers, balloons, and special menus in an effort to make every little girl feel like a princess. Oftentimes, guests choose to arrive by limousine, because it is after all a special occasion.

The event, which will be held tonight at most locations, requires a reservation, so contact your local Chick-fil-A to find out if they'll be hosting a date night. The price is $20 for each father-daughter pair with a $5 charge for each additional child. Daddy-Daughter Date Night is a great event for dads to treat the little lady in their life to a night out.

Founded in Hapeville, Georgia in 1946, Chick-fil-A operates more than 2,200 restaurants. The eatery serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and also offers catering for special events. As of 2018, Chick-fil-A is on track to become the third largest fast food chain after McDonald's and Wendy's.

The restaurant chain also sponsors other events such as the Chick-fil-A Classic, a high school basketball tournament held in Columbia, South Carolina. The tournament, currently in its eighth year, features nationally ranked players, and teams. The tournament is co-sponsored by the Greater Columbia Educational Advancement Foundation (GCEAF), which offers scholarships to high school seniors in the greater Columbia area. Also, the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, a college football bowl game, is held each year in Atlanta, Georgia.

Meanwhile, the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, an annual early-season college football game played at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, features two highly ranked teams, one of which is from the Southeastern Conference.
