Chris and Candiace have sure had their ups and downs over the years, but if ride-or-die had a poster couple, they'd be it! That's why, after Real Housewives of Potomac newbie, Mia Thornton alleged that she'd had a sexual encounter with a sous chef, Chris was quick to shut it down (and then some!).

That's One Spicy Suggestion

After Mia took to Twitter to allege having had a sexual encounter with a sous chef, fans were quick to make the mental connection. After all, why hashtag "#souschelf [sic]" out of the blue when one of your co-stars happens to be married to a chef?

However, even though fans made the connection, many were on hand to criticize the suggestion.

Many were also quick to make light of the situation, pointing out Mia's spelling error in the hashtag.

One person who was not ready to play? Chris himself.

Clapping back that Mia wasn't even his type, Chris laid any rumors of an entanglement to rest - and fans were here for it.

That being said, even amidst the messages of support, some fans continued to joke that Candiace was behind the tweets.

One user tweeted, "Candiace put Chris's phone down!" alongside laughing emojis, while another suggested that Chris was only supporting his wife because she pays him to. This comes in the wake of RHOP cast members criticizing Chris's new role as Candiace's 'husbandger,' which, as ScreenRant and People have reported, has been dealt with in several episodes thus far this season.

Mia's Just Stirring The Pot

In spite of all the chaos left in her wake, it seems like Mia was simply trolling from the start.

In response to Chris's tweet, she shared that she had been talking about someone else all along, adding, "sorry babe," to the 'clarification.'

Again, fans were on hand to voice their confusion at the entire exchange - one even joking that "Mia types like an Instagram bot."

Well, confusion aside, we're glad to hear that this was just an instance of trolling gone wrong. However, might we suggest avoiding spicy allegations like these going forward, Mia? If not for the Dilliard-Bassets' sake, then definitely to spare fans a ton of confusion!
