Celebs like Bella Hadid and Kaley Cuoco love horses and believe it or not, are expert equestrians. Hadid even planned to compete in the 2016 Olympics but had to pull out because of her battle with Lyme disease. As of late, stars like Chrissy Teigen have been finding horses therapeutic and offering peace of mind after a traumatic event. Below are stars that are extremely fond of horses and even have their very own Black Beauty.

10 Bella Hadid

Bella Hadid has been riding horses ever since she was young, and before she became the top model she is today, she wanted to become an equestrian, according to CheatSheet. In 2015, Hadid shared, "I have been riding horses since I could walk, and the fact that my mom knew everything about horses really helped my passion grow."

At one point, Hadid even had plans to make it to the Olympics, but her dreams were shattered because of battle with Lyme disease. She eventually gave up competitive horse-riding and started taking her modeling career seriously. However, the star is still seen taking snaps with her horse, Blue, at her mother, Yolanda Hadid's farm in Pennslyvania.

9 Kaley Cuoco

Besides her fantastic acting abilities, Kaley Cuoco is an amazing horse rider. The star has been riding horses since she was 15-years-old and continues to participate in shows when she can, according to Pure Wow.

The Big Bang Theory star has shared videos of herself in competitions and even shared an embarrassing video on Instagram where she falls off her horse. She shared, "The moment you realize all your equestrian friends are posting their show ring fails and now you have to do the same and you know there are tons but you really don't want to."

8 Mary-Kate Olsen

Many fans might find it surprising that Mary-Kate Olsen has been riding horses since she was a young girl and joined the equestrian team when she attended Campbell Hall School, according to Hit Shows. The famous Olsen twin once shared, "Having horseback riding as an outlet was super important because it allowed me to have another life and outlet outside of work and school. I continued to ride throughout high school and stopped when I moved to New York."

7 Richard Gere

Actor Richard Gere is a huge fan of horses and even has a favorite breed - the Appaloosa, according to Double Trailers. Gere's love of horses started after he worked on the 1970s Broadway play, Killer's Head when he learned about the Nez Perce tribe and their connection to the Appaloosa horse breed.

The actor, who owns a ranch in upstate New York, ended up buying an Appaloosa horse and named it Drukpa. He shared, "This big Appy follows me around like a dog. First horses are like your girlfriend. You never forget."

6 Julia Roberts

Julia Roberts looked like a natural on a horse when she rode away in that huge wedding dress in the movie Runaway Bride, and that's because in real life this actress loves horses. According to Cowgirl Magazine, Roberts barrel races with horses on her ranch in New Mexico, and even owns a few horses.

The star also traveled to Mongolia to film the documentary Wild Horses of Mongolia,  where she lived among the nomadic people and learned their close bond with wild horses, according to Double Trailers.

5 Madonna

Madonna took up riding horses when she was in her 40s, and she has been a fan of the majestic animal ever since. According to Double Trailers, the songstress loves to ride her horses in the Hamptons, in New York when she isn't performing.

Madonna suffered a terrible accident when she got on an unfamiliar horse and ended up breaking eight bones in her body. However, after six months, Madonna was back to riding and even rode a horse to the Late Show with David Letterman. 

4 Kiefer Sutherland

Actor Keifer Sutherland is a country boy at heart and currently lives on his ranch in California, where he rides his numerous horses and writes country songs. In 2016, the 24 actor pursued a career as a country singer and has released two albums, singing songs about his personal life.

He stated, "The one piece of advice my father [actor Donald Sutherland] gave me was: 'Don't let them catch you lying.' When you're singing songs about alcoholism, death, the loss of love, you can't be trite or you'll get in trouble. I sing from the heart.'"

3 Jamie Foxx

Jamie Foxx knows a thing or two about riding horses and even rode his own horse in the movie Django Unchained, named Cheetah, according to Cowgirl magazine. Foxx, who is a native of Texas, was gifted a horse and found a passion in riding them.

The star even posted a series of photos on his Instagram modeling with his horse and has even encouraged his daughter to start riding.

2 Shania Twain

Shania Twain is such a huge fan of horses, she included them as part of her live show at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. The country singer shared, "I've always wanted to include horses in my life as much as possible. Once I was able to be around horses, I never wanted to stop .. I'm living a dream by having them in my show."

For 2020s ACM Presents: Our Country, Twain filmed an at-home performance of her 90s hits, including, "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" with her horse making a guest appearance.

1 Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen is one of the latest celebrity horse enthusiasts and picked up horseback riding as part of her therapy following her pregnancy loss last year, according to Page Six.

She shared with her fans, "My therapist says I need something that I do just for me, as I have absolutely nothing currently lol. Today begins my journey into the horse world. I hope this dude likes me. He's so handsome and appears lazy, I love."
