John Won, Then Lost An Oscar For 'La La Land'
'La La Land' won six Oscars in 2017, but (as we all remember) it DIDN'T win Best Picture. Warren Beatty's now-infamous envelope mix up meant the cast of 'La La Land' climbed onstage to accept a Best Picture Oscar that really belonged to the cast of 'Moonlight.' It was cringey for everyone involved.
"John stood up. I gave him a kiss. I was so excited and proud. I immediately grabbed my phone and took to tweeting," Chrissy told The Hollywood Reporter after the event.
"I had a good feeling about our chances to win," John admitted in the same interview. Unfortunately, instead of winning, he got to lose spectacularly on live TV in front of an audience of his most highly esteemed peers. Check out these faces!
