Christina Aguilera has made a comeback, and her fans are here for it. The singer was trending on Twitter after her performance at The Hollywood Bowl.

On July 16th, the Grammy award-winning singer took to the stage alongside the LA Philharmonic to perform for a crowd for the first time since her 2019 tour, the X Tour. She kicked off her performance with a cover of Etta James' classic, "At Last." She went on to perform her popular hits, "What A Girl Wants," "Fighter" and "Genie In A Bottle."

The crowd loved it, as evidenced by numerous tweets showing the singer some love.

Twitter users also became nostalgic, looking back at some of the star's hits and admiring her overall demeanour.

The star made a similar comeback a few years ago, then went on a hiatus. Aguilera released Liberation in 2018, after a six-year break between albums. It was her eighth studio album, and she went on tour to promote it in September 2018.

She planned to only take a short break after her tour, but she was not able to do any live performances since the pandemic hit, so her recent performance on Friday night was a special treat to her fans.

Aguilera also gave fans another treat; She surprised them by giving out free tickets prior to the show. The recipients were participants in an XTina-themed SoulCycle spin class held on Thursday in California.  They were reportedly overjoyed at the gesture by the pop star.

Aguilera spoke to the Los Angeles Times recently and announced that she is working on two new albums, an English one and a Spanish one. Her last Spanish album was Mi Reflejo, which was released over 20 years ago. Aguilera released the album to pay tribute to her father, who is of Ecuadorian descent.

Her new album will also pay similar tribute with a special song. She told Too Fab:

"So I'm really exploring that on the Spanish side with a really special song, and hopefully the fans will really appreciate that honesty and love, coming from the place I am now."
