Christine Quinn and Emma Hernan's shared ex-boyfriend definitely rocked season 4 of Netflix's Selling Sunset. We're now left wondering if their co-worker and former NBA player Peter Cornell actually dated them at the same time. Of course, fans are leaning towards Hernan's less dramatic version of the story — that Cornell had already broken up with Quinn before they started dating — contrary to Quinn's claims that the former Lakers player had cheated on her after getting down on one knee. The rest of the cast, including Quinn's former roommate and best friend Mary Fitzgerald, are on Hernan's side on this one.

Though show newcomer Vanessa Villela is giving the self-proclaimed villain the benefit of the doubt, Hernan has had enough of Quinn's "lies." Towards the end of the season, she said she was hoping the outspoken realtor would just leave the office. It's understandable, especially with a source saying that they might have had another mutual ex, incarcerated billionaire Greg Lindberg. Here's everything we know about the rumor.

Christine Quinn And Emma Hernan 'Both Dated Self-Proclaimed Billionaire' Greg Lindberg

An anonymous tip to famous Instagram gossip curator Deuxmoi alleges that Quinn and Hernan had another mutual ex. This time, it's Greg E. Lindberg, a former business executive who was convicted of bribery and conspiracy to commit wire fraud in 2020. "Emma Hernan and Christine Quinn both dated self-proclaimed billionaire Greg E. Lindberg in 2018 before he went to prison," the source wrote. "He went to prison for bribery. I wonder if they will mention their love triangle on the show." At first, Redditors confused Lindberg for Cornell. But the latter was confirmed to be the mystery guy behind the season 4 drama — he went out with the two realtors five years ago, around 2015 or 2016.

"Ladies of LA, y'all need to see tax returns, two forms of ID, a letter of recommendation, a utility bill, credit score report, a 23&Me, whatever else," a fan said of the rumor. "Sounds like no man in LA can be trusted lol." Some fans also had interesting observations about the shared exes drama. "Whoever they fight over is going to be rich. lol. Primary takeaway and I'm not mad at them," a Redditor commented. The others were a bit harsh... "Their taste in men is horrible," one wrote. "There have got to be some decent rich men in LA for them to hang out with for crying out loud! Or wait….. maybe the decent men don’t wanna hang out with drama crazed plastic dolls 🤔"

Who Is Greg Lindberg?

Lindberg founded Global Growth, a conglomerate private-equity firm that had acquired over 100 insurance companies by 2019. The same year, an investigation began on these companies due to "concerns about their liquidity and ability to meet their obligations to policy holder." At that point, the former business executive had an estimated personal net worth of $1.46 billion. Once the investigation began, Lindberg shortly resigned as Global Growth's chief executive officer and started facing multiple lawsuits due to the public disclosure of his legal disputes.

In March 2019, he was indicted by a federal grand jury along with the chair of the North Carolina Republican Party, Robin Hayes for wire fraud and bribery. In March 2020, the jury found Lindberg guilty of "conspiracy to commit honest services wire fraud and bribery." He filed a motion for a new trial but it was denied. In August 2019, he was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison. Reports say that between all of this, following his separation from his wife Tisha in 2017, Lindberg began dating other women. He allegedly hired private investigators to ensure they're not leading "destructive lifestyles." That's probably where Quinn and Hernan came into the picture.

What Peter Cornell Thinks About Christine Quinn And Emma Hernan's Drama

Recently, Hernan told Us Weekly that Cornell "was just eye-rolling" over Quinn's claims that they were engaged. "He knew it was gonna be touched on. [But not] to the level that it went," said the Emma Leigh & Co. founder. "He kind of heard rumblings of what was going on as we were filming, like, stuff that was mentioned, and he was just eye-rolling." She also revealed that Cornell "doesn’t want anything to do" with the show but that he'd considered "potentially" sharing his side of the story.

"They were never engaged, he made that very clear," Hernan said of the former NBA player. "He was laughing when it was mentioned, and everyone knows that. It’s not even negotiable because there’s literally zero percent chance." The realtor confirmed that she's broken up with Cornell following their 2017 engagement. "We made the decision to go our separate ways for numerous reasons," she said of the split. "Obviously in life, I feel like you can never say never, but right now at this point, I’m potentially dating other people. I don’t know what he’s doing, but I do think he ideally would like to end up with me and he makes that very clear. But right now, our friendship is fine."
