Christy Carlson Romano may have worked closely with Shia LaBeouf on Disney's Even Stevens, but they're definitely not close right now, and the reason may surprise you. She has recently revealed that she's been holding a grudge for a very long time, and really has deep animosity surrounding some exchanges she's shared with the troubled star.

The former co-stars worked together for 3 years and there was ample time for them to bond and create a meaningful relationship, but as it turns out, Carlson wasn't ready to let go of some less-than-impressive moments that LaBeouf put on display.

Between feeling snubbed by him, and being jealous of the overwhelming success he received in his career, in comparison to hers, Carlson harbored way too much angst and she's telling fans exactly how things unfolded.

The Big Grudge, Revealed

Shia LaBeouf has had his fair share of problems in recent years, and Christy Carlson Romano admits that she has not been there to see him through any of it. In fact, she's been carrying around a grudge for so long that she hasn't been able to see past it for years.

As it turns out, this grudge is deep-rooted and has been sitting in the pit of her stomach for well over 20 years.

It appears Romano is very, very sensitive.

She claims all this animosity stemmed from the time that Shia LaBeouf won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in a Children's Series. She was very excited to see her colleague take the stage to accept the honor, but during his acceptance speech, he thanked the people on his team and left her out. Christy is fixated on the fact that he publicly thanked everyone that was sitting at the table, except for her, and she was hurt by the snub.

It's not clear if this was an error on Shia's part, or an intentional jab, but the semantics don't seem to matter to Christy - she's held this with her for a long time and was never able to get over it.

Jealousy And Animosity

Once those feelings were unearthed, it seemed Christy Carlson Romano was just not willing to let go of her angst. She continued to harbor feelings of jealousy as she saw Shia's career take off to huge levels of success, while hers did not do quite as well.

She admits to having very hurt feelings over the speech snub, and went on to state that her relationship with LaBeouf was one that could be described as 'sibling rivalry.' However, media outlets have indicated that she admits to being 'salty' towards her co-star, and that she goes on to say; "We had a little bit of animosity,” she ... I always wanted him to really appreciate what I gave to him.”
