It's unknown how the two actually met. But Kim notably threw a surprise party for Ciara's 25th birthday back in 2010. Early that day, they were spotted having brunch in Manhattan where the reality star was filming her show, Kourtney and Kim Take New York.
People also revealed that the ladies partied with their friends at NYC's Greenhouse until 3 AM that night. A source said that Chris Brown even performed at the event. At the time, Popsugar reported that Kim was rumored to be dating John Mayer. However, he didn't respond to the claims. "As for Kim, with or without a boyfriend, she seems to be doing just fine on her own earning $35,000 and up for her latest event appearances," wrote the outlet.
In 2014, the aspiring lawyer and the Level Up performer were seen shopping for baby supplies together at Bel Bambini in West Hollywood. That same year, the 1,2 Step hitmaker told Us Weekly that Kim gave her motherhood tips during her first pregnancy. "We [go] over really personal stuff from the woman's side of things. We've had great conversations and it’s been really cool," she shared, adding that they were geeking out over baby gears. "I'm obsessed with the Orbit stroller [Kim has] and she showed me how it works—the simplest things are so fun to you as a mom."
The Rumored Rift Between Ciara And Kim Kardashian
In 2015, Ciara and Kim reportedly had a rift after the former started dating her now-husband, Russell Wilson. According to insiders, the singer distanced herself from Kim because Russell didn't like his partner hanging out with the beauty mogul.
He allegedly "explained to [Ciara] that the Kardashians don't have the best reputation in pro sports circles," per Life & Style's source. He's apparently not a fan of the Kardashian-Jenners "because of how they've slept with their friends' men." The insider also claimed that Ciara "agreed to respect Russell's wishes" and that "Russell doesn't mean to judge, but he just doesn't want to associate with people living lives that he finds unacceptable."
In 2015, the couple shocked fans when they opened up about being celibate before their marriage. "She was in the dressing room getting ready to go before she went on stage, and she was sitting there, and God spoke to me and said, 'I need you to lead her,'" Russell recalled at the time.
