It has been a wild week for former presidential adviser Kellyanne Conway. The author and lawyer not only stepped down from her position in the White House; she also allegedly ended her longtime marriage to George Conway.
However, perhaps nothing has impacted Kellyanne’s reputation so much as the most recent allegations that the Republican spokesperson has been abusing her sixteen-year-old daughter Claudia Conway.
Claudia launched the accusations against her mother in a series of now-deleted TikTok videos that allegedly feature audio of Kellyanne screaming curse words at her daughter. The viral clips generated a lot of media attention, including calls to both the police and Child Protective Services.
Now, however, the TikTok famous teenager is asking her fans to “stop calling the authorities.” The only question most fans have now is: why?
Claudia To Kellyanne, ‘You’re Going To Jail’
Over the course of the past week, Claudia Conway has released several TikTok videos alleging that her mother Kellyanne Conway is both physically and verbally abusive. The famous teen has gone on the record stating that she didn’t want to “get my family in trouble”; her only goal in publishing the tapes was reportedly to find “safety.”
Indeed, just days after posting the disturbing audio footage, the teen removed the clips from TikTok. She explained her decision, “I posted those thinking that maybe I would get some sort of help. But nothing is going to happen, so I deleted them.”
By January 26, however, the strained relationship between Kellyanne and Claudia was again making headlines. Somehow, a topless photo of the minor was posted to Kellyanne’s Twitter account. The picture has since been deleted; however Twitter is currently collaborating with the police to investigate the culprit.
Claudia has gone on record saying that she believes her mother posted the photo. “You’re going to jail, Kellyanne,” she said in a TikTok video.
Claudia’s Sudden Change Of Heart
After days of asking followers to help her “get emancipated” from her parents, Claudia took to TikTok once again, this time with a totally different message. “Stop calling the authorities,” she begged her fans.
The teen tried to reassure the public that Kellyanne would never have posted the topless photo that was leaked to her Twitter account. She then went on to say that she wanted to resolve the issue “privately” with her family.
But why this sudden change?
One reason could be related to Claudia’s concerns about the impact of media attention on her own safety. According to the very same TikTok statement, Claudia and the rest of the Conway family have been receiving numerous threats from folks who apparently want to help the young social media sensation.
“Making threats is really...putting me in danger,” Claudia told her followers. As a result, she says, we shouldn’t expect to see her talking again about this issue publicly.
