Nonetheless, Joe marches on with his show, 'The Joe Rogan Experience' continues to usher in some major guests, getting a spot on the show can be career-changing for anyone.

However, as it turns out, not every guest accepts the offer to appear on the show. Even a little more obscure talent, who change their career by appearing on such a show.

A certain country music star turned down the show, given that he was busy with some work while he was off the road. Rogan was stunned by the rejection, though in truth, his reasoning just made him that much more authentic.

Joe Rogan Discussed The Story With Tom Green On His Podcast

Colter Wall isn't a major name in the music industry, however, Joe Rogan made it clear, he's a huge fan of the Western Canadian's work, so much so that he even shouted out his lyrics when Donald Trump asked him to host a debate between himself and Joe Biden. Rogan tweeted out his song lyrics to give him more exposure.

On the 'Joe Rogan Experience', the host discussed Wall alongside another fellow Canadian, Tom Green. Tom wasn't aware of his work, and he was shocked to find out how young the musician is.

Rogan praised his voice, mentioning that the artist sounds like a veteran.

“He was 21, and he has this song called ‘Kate McKannon,'” Rogan continues. “And you listen to it and you’d swear to God it’s an 80-year-old man who’s been drinking and smoking his whole life. It literally doesn’t make any sense. You hear the song and you’re like ‘What the ****."

Given how much of a fan Rogan is, he tried to invite the star on his show. However, it seems like Wall had other plans, turning down the invite for a particular reason.

Colter Wall Turned Down 'The Joe Rogan Podcast' For Ranching

Given that it is the biggest podcast in the world at the moment, according to Variety, one would think that an invite to the show would be an absolute yes unless a scheduling conflict were to take place.

Well, when Rogan's people got in touch with Colton's team, they were stunned by the answer. The story goes that Wall's team declined during that season given that the artist was busy ranching.

Rogan discussed the situation alongside Tom Green.

“You want to hear how authentic this cat is? We tried to get him on the show. We contacted his agent. This is what the agent said: ‘He works as a ranch hand in Texas over the summer. And when he’s done, we’ll get a hold of you,'” Joe Rogan says.

Green would tease the podcast host about the rejection, making mention that he likely wants him to appear even more, "So when an up-and-coming artist says they can’t come on The Joe Rogan Experience—the biggest podcast in all of the world—that must just make you want him to come on the show that much more,” Tom Green remarked. “It must make you like him so much more.”

Rogan disagreed, claiming that it just shows how authentic the artist really is, passing on a game-changing opportunity.

In truth, Colter is a true Western Canadian Cowboy at heart.

Colter Wall Lives The Cowboy Lifestyle

Alongside The Boot, Colter Wall revealed that as he got older, he gained more of an appreciation for the cowboy lifestyle in Western Canada.

"It’s definitely something that I took more and more of an interest in as I’ve gotten older. And the more time I’ve spent away from home, living in the States and touring a lot -- I don’t get to see my home that often, and it’s that whole "distance makes the heart grow fonder" thing, where, the longer you spend away from where you’re from, the more you start to miss it, I suppose, and the more you start to realize what it is about it that makes it home, what it is about it that makes it so near and dear."

Great to see Colter always give back to his roots, despite his obvious fame and talent. Here's to hoping the artist pops up at the 'Joe Rogan Experience' at some point in the future.
