No one expects the Kardashian-Jenners to be parenting experts, but given that they're on a reality TV show, people often watch their behavior closely. As one of the more "crunchy" Kardashians, Kourtney Kardashian often stood out against her sisters in most of her parenting practices, especially when her children were younger.

A few years ago, a behavior issue with one of their kids led Kourtney and Scott Disick to discuss the matter with Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble, and things didn't go well.

Kourtney Kardashian's Parenting Is Often Put Under A Microscope

Like her sisters, Kourtney Kardashian's parenting is on full display through the family's show and social media.

Fans have previously dragged Kourtney (while praising Kylie) for her parenting, based on not just how their kids behave, but how Kourtney seems super-focused on hubby Travis rather than their family as a whole.

Then there was that time Kourtney's son begged for fast food, and critics came out to support him in droves. Everyone has an opinion, especially after only seeing a brief clip or a snapshot in time of the Kardashian-Barker household.

But it wasn't her natural-minded approach to food that had Kourtney feuding with Corey Gamble on the set of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Corey Gamble Had Specific Advice (And Criticism) For Kourtney And Scott

In a 2019 episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, drama between Corey Gamble and Kourtney and Scott came to a head, making Kris Jenner cry and Scott storm out of the restaurant where they were eating.

During a conversation about Penelope, who was seven at the time, struggling with some worrisome behaviors, Kourtney admitted that the little girl had scratched and bit their former nanny.

Kourtney explained that her daughter could "be out of control" sometimes and suggested that Penelope "blacks out" during those moments.

Corey's suggestion to Scott and Kourtney was to hit their daughter; that line of questioning led to Corey stating that if Penelope scratched him, he was "whipping her a**."

At that point, Scott got upset, Corey escalated his comments by saying things like "whippin’ is that discipline," and Scott yelled, "Don’t ever talk about a child like that!"

Kris Jenner seemed to try to soothe the drama by telling Kourtney that Corey didn't mean his comments "literally." Kourtney agreed, but for a different reason.

He will never be with my kids alone and if he does that in front of any of us there will be a f*****g issue!

While it seemed like people understood Kourtney's instinct to argue that Corey shouldn't ever lay a hand on her children, many commenters on the video clip agreed with Corey's stance on discipline.

Many comments tried to reason that Corey may have intended to tell Kourtney and Scott that their daughter needed discipline and boundaries, adding the comments about giving her a "whooping" to demonstrate what he sees as an acceptable disciplinary measure.

One commenter elaborated, "They missed the point Corey was trying to make: Penelope needs discipline of some kind because she has no respect or awareness of what her boundaries are. Corey spoke from what he defines discipline as, and it was taken completely wrong."

Clearly, Kourtney and Scott disagreed with those methods and appeared to think that Corey was not only judging their parenting but also threatening their child's safety.

Corey Has Different Relationships With Each Kardashian-Jenner Daughter

The KUWTK YouTube channel called the Scott-Kourtney-Corey moment "explosive," and it definitely seemed that way. But behind the cameras, Corey Gamble has been involved in Kris' kids lives for a long time.

He apparently has good relationships with most of them, though he is said to dislike Kendall. When it comes to Kris Jenner's grandkids, though, Corey seems like he's a team player and is around them often.

Yet his strongest relationship seems to be with Kylie, though it's unclear whether he's ever commented on her parenting (or if Stormi bites the nanny).

After the drama while the family was out to dinner (at Nobu of course), Corey and Kourtney did have a tamer chat about Penelope and possible disciplinary measures. Kourtney continued to disagree with Corey's suggested methods and expressed concerns about bringing her kids around to Kris' house when Corey would be there.

The two ended things on a decent note, at least in front of the cameras, but didn't exactly come to a resolution.

However, given Scott's strong reaction to Corey's comments, it seems unlikely that the latter would take any steps to try and discipline Penelope, or any of Kris Jenner's grandkids.

The issue didn't seem to resurface, or even gain much traction when the KUWTK footage first aired, but viewers thought the issue likely went far deeper than Penelope acting out once or twice.

And given that Kourtney admitted to slapping her nannies as a child, there seem to be deeper issues to deal with.
