Years after Corey Haim’s passing, Corey Feldman released a documentary he made in which he addressed child stars being abused by the rich and powerful in Hollywood. In the film, Feldman spoke about being abused himself when he was a child star. However, the headline-grabbing revelation in the film was Feldman’s allegation that Charlie Sheen took advantage of Corey Haim.
When Corey Haim was thirteen and Charlie Sheen was nineteen, the two actors made the movie Lucas together. According to Corey Feldman, during the making of that film Sheen abused Haim in a very intimate way. As Feldman explained, he knew about Sheen’s alleged treatment of his friend because Haim described the abuse in great detail.
Years before Corey Feldman’s documentary was released, another former actor named Dominick Brascia made the same kind of claims about Charlie Sheen abusing Corey Haim. After stating that he was close friends with the accused victim, Brascia stated that Haim told him that Sheen abused him on the set of Lucas.
Once Corey Feldman’s allegations garnered headlines, Charlie Sheen’s publicist responded with an extremely strongly worded denial in a statement to People. “These sick, twisted, and outlandish allegations never occurred. Period. I would urge everyone to consider the source and read what his mother Judy Haim has to say.”
What Corey Haim’s Mother Said About The Allegations Against Charlie Sheen
After Charlie Sheen vehemently denied the allegation that he abused Corey Haim, a lot of people thought that was the end of the story. After all, there is no way to corroborate Corey Feldman’s allegations or Sheen’s denials. As it turns out, as Sheen’s publicist alluded to in the aforementioned statement, there is a twist in the story that most people don’t know about. Back in 2017, Corey Haim’s mother Judy made an appearance on Dr. Oz’s talk show and she responded to Dominick Brascia’s earlier allegation about Sheen abusing her son.
“I can tell you as a mother, that I haven’t seen one change in character. I would have known if anything was wrong. My kid hid nothing, he was like … transparent. He never hid anything, he was Corey. It’s out of character, that’s number one. When my son was 13 he’s not going to go and ask Charlie Sheen to go and sleep with him.”
During the same interview, Judy stated she believed Corey Feldman had “lost his mind” and that the allegations against Sheen “never happened or else I would have known about it”.
After Corey Haim’s mother Judy defended Charlie Sheen, some people may have assumed she was just in denial as a result of not wanting to think anything that terrible happened to her son. However, Haim’s mother went on to claim that her son was abused but according to her, it was Dominick Brascia who victimized Corey. Considering that Brascia was the first person to come forward to claim that Sheen abused Haim, that was a twist virtually nobody saw coming.
While speaking to Perez Hilton, Dominick Brascia completely denied Judy Haim’s allegations against him. On top of that, Brascia said he was “shocked” by Judy’s allegations since he was one of Corey Haim’s “good friends” for 25 years. On top of that, Brascia stated that he helped Corey Haim get “clean and sober for 30 days” during a period in which he let the troubled actor live with him.
