Costumed Chihuahua Carries Colorful Bird On The Adventure Of A Lifetime

Costumed Chihuahua Carries Colorful Bird On The Adventure Of A Lifetime

A tiny costumed chihuahua and their parrot friend are living their best lives out on the streets.

There are so many questions left unanswered in this video. Someone, somewhere, in a Spanish-speaking country (and there are a lot of them), captured this video of a chihuahua dressed in a tutu carrying a colorful parrot in their back. The sight obviously captured a lot of people’s attention, and eventually, someone decided to film it.

We have the Dogspotting Facebook group to thank for this adorable video, captioned: "Smol birb hitching a ride on smol pupper." They are indeed both very smol--er, that is, small.

But why? Why is that dog wearing a tutu? Why is that parrot riding on its back? Why is everyone just gawking at this unbelievably cute spectacle without asking for any additional backstory?

Well, it looks like we’ll have to come up with our own ideas about what these two tiny creatures were getting up to so late at night.

Maybe the chihuahua is offering some affordable ride-sharing services, and they're off to pick up another passenger, but somebody forgot to plug the address into Google Maps.

Perhaps they’re both late for an audition in the Spanish district (it’s like the French Quarter in New Orleans, only Spanish). That chihuahua has been practicing his entire life for this one chance, and now he’s slept in and is late for his audition! Of course, he has his trusty parrot friend to direct him to the theater where the audition will be held, but sadly they both get turned around in the crowds. Will he make it in time to land the leading role? And why is is he wearing a tutu?

Hey, it’s 2018. Men can wear tutus if they want to. Especially thespian chihuahuas.

The most likely explanation is that both the dog and the bird are actually trained, and their handler is hiding somewhere in the crowd accepting donations for their continued performance. It’s less interesting than the two previous backstories, but some people like it real.

Personally, we like things to be a little fantastic. Just like these two.
