Kylie Jenner officially confirmed she’s pregnant with her second child in an endearing Instagram video earlier this month, and now it seems we may have found out her motivation behind the surprising move.
Jenner has been pretty tight-lipped about her relationship with her on-off beau Travis Scott since their split in 2019, but it seems the two are giving their relationship another chance.
According to Us Weekly, Jenner felt strongly about welcoming another child into the world now more than ever — and it has to do with her sister Kendall.
A source tells the publication that the Kylie Cosmetics mogul told family and friends that she wanted a sibling similar in age with her three-year-old daughter Stormi, who was born in February 2018.
"Kylie really wanted her siblings to be close in age because she feels so close to Kendall and wants that for Stormi,” the insider gushed.
Jenner has never made it a secret that she shares a very close bond to her supermodel sibling — and she thinks that’s mainly because they are only a year apart.
Jenner’s relationship with Scott has had its ups and downs, but it’s believed that the pair actually reconciled just over a year ago, when they started trying for a second baby, the source continued.
Upon learning that the 24-year-old is, indeed, pregnant, Scott was said to have been “beyond thrilled” with the news as the soon-to-be parents of two are continuing to work on their romance.
Jenner flew out to New York earlier this week in preparation for the highly-anticipated Met Gala on Monday, September 13, which was canceled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
It’s rumored that Jenner and Scott will attend the annual fashion event together, alongside her family, including Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, and, of course, Kendall.
No word on when the makeup guru is expected to give birth, but given that she’s already sporting a large baby bump, fans predict she’ll give birth at the top of 2022.
