Celebrity couple Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian have, once again, proved that they're "couple goals." The raunchy couple recently flew to Cabo for a relaxing getaway. Sounds ordinary, right? Turns out, this was Barker's first flight since being onboard during a tragic plane crash in 2008.

Multiple outlets reported that Barker boarded a private jet on Saturday, August 14 to fly to Mexico with Kardashian and her family. TMZ writes that they flew from Los Angeles to Cabo on Kylie Jenner's private jet. He was photographed boarding the jet in khaki pants and a white sleeveless tee, while Kardashian donned a stylish, all-black attire.

Fans were touched by this news and quickly took to social media to praise the couple. Many credited the 42-year-old reality star for helping Barker overcome his fears. One fan tweeted, "Kourtney helped Travis overcome his fear of flying. He went on his first flight since 2008 with Kourtney right by his side. That’s so sweet and I’m happy for him. They really are such a nice couple and I hope they do last long."

Another wrote, "Travis Barker hadn’t been on a plane since his plane crashed in 2008 and was only one of two survivors. He got on a plane for the first time today flying to Cabo with Kourtney.. if I don’t find a love like that I don’t want it all."

"Kourtney and Travis have an absolutely beautiful relationship. He got on a plane for the 1st time since 2008. That's incredible," expressed a third fan.

Back in 2008, the Blink-182 drummer was in a deadly plane crash that killed his security guard and assistant, Charles "Che" Still and Chris Baker, as well as the two pilots on board. While Barker's peer and collaborator, Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein, also survived the crash, he passed away from an overdose the following year.

Opening up about his fear, Barker spoke to Men's Health about wanting to fly on an airplane again. In their May 2021 issue, the 45-year-old expressed, "There’s a million things that could happen to me. I could die riding my skateboard. I could get in a car accident. I could get shot. Anything could happen. I could have a brain aneurysm and die. So why should I still be afraid of airplanes?”

Later in the article, he was quoted saying, "I want to make the choice to try and overcome it.”

Barker's followers were ecstatic to hear that he has overcome his fear and managed to fly to Mexico. A flight that lasts roughly two and a half hours, according to Google Flights.
