Ready for some cringe?

Camila Cabello's "girl boss" version of Cinderella has been confusing fans since its trailer dropped, especially with the very trolled announcement that James Corden will play a mouse in it.

"There needs to be a psychological case study on how James Corden is in literally every movie musical these days," one Twitter user argued.

"James Corden is collecting musicals and none of us are safe," reads another response to the 'Cinderella' trailer. It's true that the comedian's IMDb is getting dominated by more and more musical roles, from lead ones in 'Into the Woods' and 'Cats' to his much criticized casting in 'The Prom.'

Today brings bad news for anyone hoping this new musical role is better for James! He's been a big topic on Twitter for hours now- and not for flattering reasons. Check out the awkard moments that got him trending.

There Was Hip Thrusting

via Twitter

James, Camila, Idina Menzel, Billy Porter, and a handful of other talented performers just did a flash mob for 'Cinderella' in the streets of LA. Stopping traffic to promote their musical may have backfired, though.

By singing and dancing their hearts out in the middle of the road, James and co. ended up being recorded at close range by people who had to sit in their cars and wait for them to finish. This seemed especially obnoxious when James decided to do some hip thrusting toward one car.

"Sorry I was 3 hours late to work. James Corden was dry humping the air in a rat costume on the street and held up traffic," one Tweet joked, earning more than 12K likes.

An Awk Bouquet Moment

James also earned side-eye from a brief exchange he had with Camila after their performance.

Someone ran up and gave James a big bouquet of roses, placing it at his feet. James and Camila both looked at it, and James courteously offered it to Camila (she's the leading lady, of course). Camila made a humble gesture like 'oh, I couldn't' and then started to step forward to accept the flowers- but James scooped them up himself in the end.

The viewer's clip ends with Camila and Idina Menzel laughing behind James at how awkward the interaction was.

Flashmob 'Cinderella' ended up with mixed reviews to say the least. People who were actually there seem to have loved it, like Twitter user @TrashPopSong who wrote:

"LOSING MY MIND at james corden, camila cabello, idina menzel and billie porter stopping traffic in front of me to do a flash mob !??!!"

Other Tweets like "im sorry to shawn mendes but camila cabello and james corden are the most iconic duo now" prove some people were really here for it- while others were really not.
