Celebrities are human, but that doesn't mean they can't become icons in the eyes of their fans. Tons of people all over the world are obsessed with Daniel Craig, and just as many are obsessed with Rachel Weisz.

So when the two finally fell in love and got married, it seemed like a dream come true. No, really — the tabloids went nuts with the headlines about their love story and how epic it was and how amazing.

A sampling of headlines shows just how much the public loves Daniel and Rachel:

Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig have the most interesting love story

They're a "match made in Hollywood," right?

The thing is, there's one fact missing from most — if not all — of those heartwarming stories about Craig and Weisz's union.

As Newsweek recapped (in their article titled The Sweet, Unexpected and Top Secret Love Story of Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz), the couple finally wed in 2011. But they first met in the '90s, in a play, and the co-stars played love interests. Adorable, no?

But the two were both married at the time, so, Newsweek says, they maintained a "platonic friendship." In 2010, they reconnected, and that's where the story that Hollywood loves so much got started.

The thing was, Rachel's relationship with Darren Aronofsky reportedly ended in 2010 (they announced their separation in November and said they'd been apart for months).

And the same year that Rachel and Daniel worked on the film that reconnected them ('Dream House'), Craig was apparently still in a relationship with Satsuki Mitchell. The end date on that relationship? Also 2010.

There are also rumors about how Satsuki reacted when she found out about Rachel: rumor has it, Daniel was still her man when he stopped coming home at night after working on 'Dream House' with Rachel.

Yes, the one thing that is not so sweet about Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz's love story is that it appears to have hurt other people while it was unfurling. Daniel supposedly stepped out on Satsuki Mitchell, while fans can only speculate about her breakup with Darren Aronofsky.

Looking back at the Bond actor's track record, though, and former friend Jude Law has some thoughts. Remember the love triangle between Daniel, Jude, and Sienna Miller? Apparently the journalists penning sweet posts about the now-married couple forgot about that bit of Daniel's past.

Of course, no one really knows the truth except Rachel and Daniel, and even critics have to admit that there isn't any proof that the pair's meet-cute love story is anything less.
