Dave Bautista, more commonly known simply as Batista to WWE fans, is a six-time World Heavyweight/WWE Champion, two-time Royal Rumble winner, and budding Hollywood star whose film credits include Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Endgame, Stuber, and My Spy.

While the 51 year old has a lot on his plate, his schedule is fairly limited these days thanks in part to social distancing and other COVID-19 measures. Apparently, he has used this downtime to slide into the DMs of a prominent wrestling journalist's girlfriend.

How It All Started

Ryan Satin is the editor-in-chief at Pro Wrestling Sheet and the news correspondent for WWE Backstage on FS1. He's a relatively prominent member of the online wrestling community with in excess of 80,000 Twitter followers. On April 27, he sent out the tweet: "Lol at a wrestling legend DMing horny thoughts to my girlfriend."

Naturally, that led to dozens of comments from wrestling fans curious as to who the "wrestling legend" was. One user chimed in with the hilarious reply, "Miz's dad is a legend?" Others suggested the likes of Val Venis and Scott Hall, although it's hard to argue the former is a "legend."

Batista's Response

It didn't seem as though Satin was going to name the culprit, but then Batista quoted the tweet less than two hours later: "I was just telling @sendaravenplz that I thought you were an attractive man. And that you had a sexy voice. And asked what kind of cologne you wore so I could spray it on my pillow. I'd hardly consider those horny thoughts! Unless thats not the dm you're talking about!"

Neither Satin or his girlfriend, Erica Steiner, specifically confirmed that Batista was behind the DMs, but their responses seem to indicate that was the case. For his part, Satin wasn't that concerned, stating, "That's not horny, that's just wanting to be the best man you can be while stuck in quarantine. I totally understand that. Respect." Steiner later quipped that "he wears Eau De Wrestling Fan."

Other replies in the thread included gifs of Drax the Destroyer, Batista's character in Guardians of the Galaxy, and of course his infamous "Give me what I want" moment, in which he demanded a match with Triple H at WrestleMania 35 on an episode of Raw. Others asked Batista to slide into their DMs.

Not The First Time His Twitter Flirting Went Public

This isn't the first time Batista made headlines for his Twitter activity. While his timeline is usually filled with wrestling, film, and political opinions, he had a very open courtship of WWE superstar Dana Brooke back in November 2019. Their back-and-forth exchanges were equal parts cringe-worthy and entertaining and, for whatever reason, kept wrestling fans on the edge of their seats anticipating an eventual date between the two.

Their exchange began when Batista confirmed he was single and one fan replied that he should go on a date with Brooke. That led to a series of racy tweets exchanged between the two that included shirtless pictures of Batista, among other items that could - and should - have been saved for DMs.

Batista has had issues with sex addiction in the past and ruined two marriages due to infidelity while working in the WWE. He's been open about his issues and has seemingly been working to be a better partner.

"I've matured," he said in his autobiography, Batista Unleashed. "I've had to. I've grown up and learned to deal with temptations on the road. I don't want to be a bad role model to my daughters and the company depends on me. I can't be making a fool of myself.

"I don't have a lot of regrets in my life and I haven't been an angel. But if I could change anything, it'd be the chapter with all the women. It hurt the people I love."

Spending more than a month in lockdown, however, can drive a single man crazy so it's no surprise to see Batista, like many others, sliding into the DMs of beautiful women.

Who Is Erica Steiner?

While Satin has amassed a Twitter following of more than 80,000 people, his girlfriend is nearing 10,000 followers based on pictures of herself and musings on various topics. While she is a wrestling fan, the majority of her tweets suggests she doesn't mind the increase in attention she has been getting. Her pinned tweet from January 14: "Welcome, new followers! This twitter account is mostly skanky selfies, dog content and uncomfortable jokes about my dying mom. Have fun!!"

The photos that likely prompted Batista to fire off a DM were posted on April 26 and feature her standing in front of a mirror in a bikini while sticking her tongue out. It's likely she expected to receive some unwanted male attention from those photos, but wasn't anticipating The Animal sliding into her DMs.
