David Boreanaz has had a few scandals along his path in terms of infidelity and cheating on his wife, not unlike numerous other celebrities as well as those who they surround themselves with. Despite the rocky road of marriage, the two continued to patch things up – thanks to his lovely wife, Jamie Bergman. But who really is Jamie, and what does she do?
Jamie Bergman’s Early Life
Jamie was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on September 23, 1975, to Susan Marie Scallion and Ronald Smith Bergman. Since childhood, she was interested in the glamour world and wished to make a career in the field. She was a West Jordan High School graduate in 1993, and during her high school years, she was a member of the cheerleading team. From that time, her journey toward popularity began in the school itself.
Jamie Bergman’s Modeling Career
After graduating high school, Jamie started modeling but found it quite difficult at first until she caught up eventually. Her career as a model began to flourish in the late 1990s. She became the brand ambassador of St. Pauli Girl beer and became well-known as the St. Pauli Girl that year.
Aside from being the brand model, she was cast in Playboy magazine as the Playboy Playmate of the Month for the month of January 1999 (the 45th-anniversary issue of the magazine). Following her appearance in the renowned publication, she could be seen in many videos such as in Playboy: Playmate Pajama Party. She also had her own video centerfold.
Jamie Bergman’s Acting Career
Even with her experience in the limelight, Jamie was still not yet ready for her screen acting career. She had started getting some TV and film roles but were mostly a few seconds or minute-long of exposure only. Such roles did not give her the floor to reveal her acting skills; instead, most of her parts only required her to show off her physical beauty.
In 1999, her film career began with her tiny role in Speedway Junky. The same year, she made her debut in the TV series, Beverly Hills, 90210 – in which she played as Trish Jansen in one of its episodes titled, “Loo-Ouch.” She appeared on screen for just a few seconds, and so with her role in the comedy series, The Love Boat: The Next Wave.
Then in 2000, she landed another small role in the film, Gone in 60 Seconds, and Daybreak a.k.a Rapid Transit. She was then cast as a supporting actress in series such as Brutally Normal and Shasta McNasty. Fortunately, the same year she got her best role when she appeared as BJ Cummings in the sitcom Son of the Beach – a comedy designed as a spoof of the famous TV show, Baywatch.
Her journey in acting continued as she appeared in different TV shows and films such as Soulkepper, Buxom Blonde, Dawson’s Creek, Pauly Shore is Dead, It’s All Relative, and Angel from 2001-2004. Then in 2007, the actress became a guest in the series Bones, the TV drama where David Boreanaz was the lead actor.
Jamie Bergman’s Married Life
Jamie married actor-producer David Boreanaz in November 2001, after the couple announced their engagement in August the same year. They shared two children, son Jaden Rayne Boreanaz, and daughter Bella Vita Bardot Boreanaz. However, their marriage was tested when the American actor cheated on her.
David admitted to PEOPLE in 2010 that he cheated on his wife, saying, “Our marriage has been tainted with my infidelities. I just want to be open and honest. I was irresponsible.” He explained at the time, “I was associated with a woman who I was involved with and had a relationship with. She asked me for money. I felt as though I was being blackmailed or there was some sort of extortion.”
The former Buffy star teared up when opening up about the difficulties but with his wife beside him during those trying times, they had coped up with the issues privately until then. He said, “We’re working on repairing what has been damaged so badly.”
Moving on wasn’t easy for sure and not everyone is blessed with a wife so forgiving and willing to make amends. David and Jamie are still together as the actress constantly shared on Instagram some photos of her and her husband.
