Rita Ora is another example, as the pop star walked out of her brief interview when her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris was brought up.

That was far from the only occurrence, as things would also get awkward during his interview alongside Kristen Stewart, particularly when the host tried fixing Kristen's microphone himself.

In fairness to the host, we've also witnessed some great moments on the show. His discussion with Ricky Gervais is an example, as the two had quite the religious debate.

Keanu Reeves would also drop one of the most classic quotes ever on the show, after being asked by the host, 'what happens when you die'? Keanu Reeves took a second and answered, 'the ones that love us, will miss us'.

Now in this particular interview, David Cross ended up walking out. The walk out wasn't necessarily a serious one, but it still made for fantastic television and an interview the audience had a blast with.

However, the conversation would take a shift when Cross asked Colbert if he remembered any of his writing.

"Yeah! Did you write the James And The Giant Peach sketch, with Steve O'Donnell?," Colbert asked. "No, 'That was Spike Feresten then,' Colbert said.

"Okay great. Well f*** get him here," Cross said while getting up and exiting the interview.

Colbert tried to smoothen things over backstage, telling Cross, "If anything, what I remember is just hoping you would think anything I said was funny, and the fact that you remembered something I said and thought it was funny means a lot to me."

The interview was truly hilarious and fans praised the two, for what appeared to be great improv.
