From 2004 to 2012, the ladies of Wisteria Lane kept us glued to our seats with gripping storylines every week on ABC’s Emmy-winning hit show Desperate Housewives, spanning eight exhilarating seasons and 180 episodes.

Its stars Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, and Eva Longoria all went on to continue success in Hollywood with a string of blockbuster hits, popular TV shows, and even lucrative endorsement deals, but some have been successful more than others.

Since the show’s final season aired in 2012, you might be wondering what the cast of Desperate Housewives has been up to and who’s still earning the big bucks. Here’s the lowdown.

What Are They Making Now?

Let’s start with Teri Hatcher, who has kept a relatively low profile since the show ended.

Rumors were floating around that some of the cast members were somewhat glad that Desperate Housewives was ending because they were fed up with Hatcher’s alleged diva behavior on set.

While it was never confirmed or denied whether there was truth to the stories concerning the actress’s issues with other cast members and production staff, given that she hasn’t had much work in Hollywood ever since says a lot for itself.

She had a voice role in 2013’s Planes along with its follow-up, Planes: Fire & Rescue, the following year. Hatcher also had a recurring role on Supergirl and The Odd Couple, and her appearance on the cooking show Chopped ended up seeing her win the full contest.

Elsewhere, Felicity Huffman was doing just fine with her career up until she was exposed in the infamous college admission scandal.

She pleaded guilty to paying a whopping $15,000 to drastically boost her daughter Sophia’s SAT score, which consequently led to her facing 14 days in federal prison.

Before the scandal, Huffman was in a string of successful shows, including Netflix’s When They See Us, American Crime, and Get Shorty.

She starred alongside Jennifer Aniston in 2014’s Cake, with her last major project being the film Motherhood - also on Netflix. It remains unclear when she’ll return to acting following the major scandal she was involved in last year. Hopefully, she’s saved up some of her earnings from all of these TV shows and movies she’s been working on over the years.

Soon after Desperate Housewives, Marcia Cross played Claire Has in Quantico until 2017 when the show was canceled.

She later made a few appearances in Youth & Consequences, and Ned and Stacey, before coming forward and sharing with her fans that she had been diagnosed with anal cancer.

"I know there are people who are ashamed,” she told CBS. “You have cancer! You have to then also feel ashamed? Like you did something bad, you know, because it took up residence in your anus? I mean, come on, really. There's enough on your plate.”

"Even for me, it took a while,” she said. “Anus, anus, anus! Ha. You just have to get used to it."

Thankfully, she’s since recovered.

Last but not least, Eva Longoria has undoubtedly outshined all of her cast members with all the success she’s had - and the numbers in the bank account certainly prove it.

Right after DH ended, Longoria teamed up with the show’s creator Marc Cherry to produce her own sitcom, titled Devious Maids, which was deemed as the Spanish version of the show that made her a household name.

Devious Maids, which aired on Lifetime, consisted of four seasons before being chopped by the network - but given her title on the show, Longoria would have made a lot of money for her involvement.

She’s fronted a handful of endorsed campaigns for the likes of L’Oreal Paris, LG Fashion Touch, and sparkling liquor NuVo, which are just some of the deals that have helped push her net worth to an impressive $80 million.

She’s also appeared in several television shows over the years, including Mother Up!, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Telenovela - and given that she commanded $325,000 per episode on DH, there’s little to no doubt she would have received a similar salary here too.

Since 2016, Longoria has been working on her upcoming Ours is a Future documentary, which she also produced. There’s no release date attached to the project yet, nor has there been a release date for her comedy flick, titled 24-7, with Kerry Washington.

Longoria is listed as the film’s actress, director, and producer.

The 45-year-old and her husband, Jose Baston, welcomed their baby boy, Santiago Enrique Baston, in June 2018.

There were rumors floating around in 2019 that a potential Desperate Housewives reboot was in the works, but the cast has since shut those claims down, saying they haven't heard anything regarding the idea of reprising their roles.
