After all these years, no one expects Gwen Stefani to continue looking like her '90s-era self. But when a seemingly drastic change happened to her face, and new photos showed her looking quite different, people began to speculate. Though fans will no doubt love Gwen no matter what she looks like, many wonder whether the star has undergone plastic surgery. Since she's been in the spotlight for so many years, eagle-eyed fans kept waiting for the singer to actually age. Now, many seem to think it's happened.

While Gwen herself hasn't said anything on the matter, many "experts" have chimed in. One specialist, in particular, thinks that Gwen has invested over $100,000 in her face, and all of that to avoid a full facelift. Because while Gwen does look different nowadays, she still doesn't look her age. Could it be true that Gwen spent money on her looks—a whopping $100K?

A "Top Plastic Surgeon" Says Gwen's Had Work Done

As such experts do, a "top plastic surgeon" told The Sun that Gwen Stefani looks like she has had various procedures done.

The plastic surgeon, Dr. Westreich, has admittedly never treated Gwen but gave the professional opinion that she is trying to avoid visible signs of aging while also holding off on a full facelift.

After reviewing photos (though it's unclear which ones), the surgeon seemed confident in running down a laundry list of treatments and their various price points; $30K for a nose job, for example.

The collection of "cosmetic procedures and tweakments," says the surgeon, amounts to around $100K in work, and is insurance against the need for "a facelift in ten year time."

Dr. Westreich also suggested that Gwen currently looks 10 years younger than she is, but that she "shouldn't be wanting to look 40 forever."

Describing her appearance and why he thinks what he thinks, the doctor stated, "Gwen also has these moments where she looks oddly swollen and that’s probably indicative of her having facial tightening treatments done like FaceTite."

Fans have noticed Gwen's new look, but with so many celebrities admitting to procedures like botox and lip fillers, it's easy to assume she's had some milder procedures done.

The surgeon, however, says she's likely had a progression of skin tightening procedures to "create an extra snatched jawline," but also suggests Gwen had her nose worked on years ago.

In addition, he says, she "might have" had some "chin work" too, and then there's the case of a dimple that seemingly disappeared.

Gwen Has Spoken Out Against Plastic Surgery In The Past...

Gwen has famously been quoted as being against plastic surgery, based on a long-ago quote about her potential future children. People quoted Gwen talking about wanting to have kids, and she said, "I’m hoping when I have children that they save me from my own vanity."

The quote has been dredged up countless times to clap back against the apparent "work" Gwen has had done.

However, there's apparently part of the quote missing from People's record; Life and Style Mag finishes the quote from Stefani with, "If it doesn’t, plastic surgery is an option … It sucks to have to grow older. We all have to accept it."

The statement in support of plastic surgery does better fit the narrative that Gwen's been undergoing procedures—and also ensures fans don't see her as a hypocrite.

However, some "fans" began dragging Gwen a few years ago when snapshots of her without makeup surfaced online.

At that time, commenters were not kind about Gwen's looks. Fortunately, Gwen doesn't seem to be listening.

Gwen Says Love And A Good Skincare Routine Keep Her Looking Young

She hasn't explicitly admitted to having procedures done, but Gwen has revealed her skincare routine and the secret to what keeps her looking young.

In one interview, Gwen admitted she was obsessed with her skincare routine and uses a "cleanser that takes makeup off."

But she elaborated, "I look back over the past few years and look at pictures of when I first started kissing Blake, and I look the best I’ve ever looked in my life in those photos."

Gwen did comment on wearing a lot of makeup, and the public's reaction to it, by saying she "just love[s] makeup" and thinks she looks better with it on. She doesn't seem to feel the need to defend herself against the other gossip about her face, though.

Though Stefani's looks do seem to have changed recently, it's possible she switched up her makeup routine, found some new filters, or did have some procedures done.

While Gwen could be a celebrity who later regrets having plastic surgery (if she really did—or does), for now, she seems happy with her looks. At least, happy enough to continue sharing selfies on her social media, and showcasing her new beauty products.
