Many fans have dreamt of getting a really cool gift from a celebrity, but that just doesn't happen very often.
One lucky lady on a plane seems to have lived that experience in real life... maybe. Fans aren't sure what to make of a recent post that shows Lil Uzi Vert swapping jewelry with a fan.
Clearly, the fan got the better end of the deal, if this really happened. At first glance, the post seems real, but fans have pointed out some inadequacies within the post that has led to further scrutiny.
The Jewelry Swap
Lil Uzi Vert was featured in a post by Pigeons and Planes. He was photographed sitting next to a fan, each of whom had excited facial expressions as they raised their arms in full display of the fact that they had swapped jewelry.
It was immediately obvious that Lil Uzi Vert was now sporting some pretty basic, dainty, female jewelry, and that the lady next to him got a serious upgrade. Dripping in ice, she appears to have his shades as well as his Rolex, and fans everywhere want to know how she managed to get so lucky.
Then, the questions began.
Does Lil Uzi Vert fly commercial?
Even more importantly, where is the pink diamond that he had embedded in his skin?
Fans really want to believe this adorable jewelry-trading post is real, but they have questions.
The Inadequacies
Most fans agree this photograph truly depicts the real Lil Uzi Vert.
They also agree the jewelry swap probably took place, even if it was just as a joke for the photograph, and the items were eventually returned to their original owners.
They have questions surrounding other aspects of this image though.
For starters, fans of Lil Uzi Vert know that he loves living on the edge. He's a risk-taker and is unconventional when it comes to his lifestyle. Fans can't forget that he embedded a $24 million pink diamond into his forehead recently, and it's noticeably absent in this photograph.
Fans took to the comments section to question if this was an old post, an old photo or a fake. Most agree that the image may be old, and want to know why old news is being circulated if that's the case.
Comments such as this appeared immediately; "What happened to his head forehead jewelry?," "So he basically gave her 10 racks uzi the best," and "That’s Uzi from 2-3 years ago...." as well as; "I'm am a Smithstonyan look how big this Rollie is."
That led one fan to write; "Coach? Does he fly coach?"
The questions are valid, but the photo doesn't lie. It was him, he at least temporarily switched his jewelry with that of a stranger... It's just hard to say when this image was captured and whether the lucky lady got to keep the fancy watch and shades.
