Shailene Woodley shot to fame 13 years ago playing teen mom Amy Juergens in ABC's The Secret Life of The American Teenager. Is she now a mother in real life too? Fans of the Big Little Lies star certainly seem to think so. And for good reason.
Earlier this week, the 29-year-old actress posted a cryptic image to her Instagram story, leaving her 4.6 million followers to ask, "Was that a baby announcement?"
Woodley uploaded a black and white image of a pair of baby feet being held in the air by an adult hand. She included no additional information, and the picture didn't contain any identifying features of the star or her fiance, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Naturally, fans have taken to Twitter to ask: What is going on?
While Woodley hadn't made mentions of immediate plans to become a mom, her future husband's recent interview with Haute Living does make it seem unlikely. The 37-year-old Superbowl champion revealed that the pair will spend the next four months separated, as he heads to Wisconsin on Sunday to begin the football season. Woodley is currently in Alberquerque, New Mexico, filming the comedy Robots, the first of several projects she has booked after a year of filming shutdowns due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The couple was last seen publicly together back in May, where they vacationed in Hawaii with Woodley's friend and frequent collaborator Miles Teller and his wife Kayleigh. Woodley was not visibly pregnant in the photos from four months ago, but the happy foursome did seem to have fun hiking and jamming out to Taylor Swift.
Fans were quick to notice the timing of Woodley's strange baby post. It came hot on the heels of the announcement that John Mulaney is having a baby with Olivia Munn, Rodgers' ex of three years.
Woodley and Rodgers aren't the only Hollywood power couple to get tongues wagging over pregnancies this week. It seems there must be something in the water down in Hollywood, as some of our favorite actresses all confirmed they are expecting. With four announcements in three days, this week has seen a "baby boom" that has certainly got people talking.
"Kylie and Travis: we’re having a baby! John and Olivia: we’re having a baby! Jennifer Lawrence: I’m having a baby! Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers: hold my baby bottle," joked one excited fan.
And if Woodley is the parent of a beautiful little child, perhaps she can get some parenting tips from her Divergent co-star Theo James, who became a proud father for the first time himself just three weeks ago. It's a Baby boom indeed!
