Despite a small degree of controversy that will likely follow the actor for the rest of his life, Dior has stood by Johnny Depp throughout his tumultuous divorce from Amber Heard, even after allegations of domestic abuse. It paid off though for the company. After Depp won his defamation lawsuit against Heard in 2022, Dior's profits and their sales numbers for Sauvage, the cologne that Depp is their key spokesperson for, have skyrocketed. The company made $4.5 million in a single day after the verdict in the Depp V. Heard case was announced.

Whether you are on Depp's side or not, it cannot be argued that keeping Depp was a profitable move by the fashion behemoth. But Depp is far from being their first celebrity spokesmodel. Dior has a 30-plus year-long history of using celebrity ambassadors successfully, and it was not just for their scents. Their bags and clothes have been endorsed by the likes of Mila Kunis and Rihanna and their feminine fragrances have been endorsed by Charlize Theron among many others. These are some of the biggest names to act as spokesmodels for Dior and Dior products.

8 Marion Cotillard

The French actress from The Dark Knight Rises and award-winning films like Midnight In Paris was a knockout as a model for the Lady Dior line and Dior's famous line of purses and handbags. She has been in over 10 ad campaigns for the brand, and she continues to use the bags in her everyday life. She has been with the company since 2008.

7 Mila Kunis

The star of Family Guy and That '70s Show has been modeling for the brand's clothing since 2012 and her face can be spotted in ads in magazines and on television. She was with the company for one year before handing the job over to another popular actress, Jennifer Lawerence. Kunis got the job shortly after her co-star from Black Swan, Natalie Portman, filled the role.

6 Rihanna

Rihanna is no stranger to the fashion world. She has her own line of clothes, makeup, and accessories, and she runs a successful and wildly popular YouTube makeup tutorial channel. But she also turned heads when the famously sultry singer wore a sheer Dior dress at their show during Paris Fashion Week in 2022. Rihanna also endorsed a classic collection from Dior during the same year.

5 Jennifer Lawrence

After Mila Kunis bowed out, the Oscar-winning actress filled in for her. Lawrence has been with the company since 2013 and continues to model for them regularly in television and magazine ads. She modeled not just for their clothes and handbag lines, but their fragrances as well. She was the model for their campaign for Joy, a perfume, in 2018. Jennifer Lawrence continues to model for the products of Christian Dior regularly.

4 Charlize Theron

The actress has been a part of Dior's advertising campaigns ever since 2010, the same year the company hired Jennifer Lawrence as an ambassador too. But Theron was not just hired as an ambassador, Dior made her the face of their flagship fragrance J'Adore. The ads with the actress surrounded and covered in gold have been making rounds ever since they first aired on television. She is one of the longest running ambassadors for the company.

3 Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman was an ambassador for Dior before Mila Kunis, her co-star in the ballet film Black Swan, was. Portman was most prominently featured in their ads for the Miss Dior perfumes. She was also the face of their ad campaign for makeup and beauty products for several years.

2 Jude Law

Johnny Depp is not the first male actor to represent Christian Dior's products. Jude Law was also a model for their line of male fragrances before Depp was, however, because Depp's court case was so heavily in the spotlight his face has arguably sold much more cologne than Law ever did. Jude Law looks good in his ads, but Sauvage is currently breaking records in sales. Like Depp, Dior stood by Jude Law despite some past controversies, like the time he cheated on his wife with their baby's nanny in the early 2000s. That controversy, which fans have long forgotten, had little to no bearing on the company's decision to work with Law. It would seem Dior is not quick to "cancel" or judge their models. The commercial he starred in for Dior was directed by legendary director Guy Ritchie.

1 Robert Pattinson

After Twilight made the British actor a household name, he needed more work in order to prove he could be taken seriously. He was the face of the brand's cologne before Johnny Depp signed with the company in 2015. He is the face of their scent Homme, and he has been with the company for several years now. It's funny to think of The Batman as a supermodel, but then again Bruce Wayne posing for a cologne ad would be the perfect cover for him to maintain his playboy image. It's just funny to think of The Batman modeling for Christian Dior is all.
