Just because kids have celebrity parents does not mean that they are not prone to the same issues at school as other kids. This means that they may have problems with their studies, may have a hard time making friends, or even get into a scuffle from time to time. The latter of which Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum know all too well, given that their girls, Everly, who Tatum shares with ex-wife, Jenna Dewan, and Laila, Bullock's daughter, and younger sibling to son, Louis, were at odds with one another from an early age. And because of this, the actors put on their parenting hats and got to know the school's principal very well.

Before Bullock and Tatum worked together on The Lost City, the two actors had met years ago in a non-professional setting. That setting was in the principal's office to discuss how their daughters were behaving toward one another. And while the initial disagreement between the girls was something that could be brushed off as simply learning how to interact with others in a school setting, it quickly became clear there were underlying issues between the two with the frequency that Bullock and Tatum were being called to discuss what action plans would be put in place to curb the disruptive behavior the young girls were causing. Issues that appeared to only continue to get worse, leaving the Speed and Magic Mike 3 stars wondering how to navigate the situation.

Here is why Sandra Bullock's and Channing Tatum's daughters had a "beef" with one another and where things stand today.

While the details of the altercations that were occurring in preschool were never revealed, they were plentiful. The disagreements happened so often that both Tatum and Bullock would keep their fingers crossed that the other's daughter was the culprit.

But, as it happened, the fault fell to both Everly and Laila equally. And as a result, both parents found themselves at the school more often than they would like to admit, one of the surprising things about Sandra's life as a mom.

"We have two very, very strong-willed little girls that, you know, at that young age were very much butting heads," Tatum explained.

Bullock went on to say, "We'd get calls and I'm like 'please let it be Everly.'" And Channing was quick to chime in, "Please let it be Laila."

The 21 Jump Street star added, "I would just be like, ‘Of all the people…of all the people to fight with their daughter...'"

These spats went on for quite some time in preschool. And when just talking about the incidents did not seem to be deterring the girls, something had to be done to stop the types of interactions they were having with one another. This is when the principal devised a plan.

How The "Tiffs" Were Finally Put To Rest

As a result of a particularly bad interaction with one another, Bullock was called into the principal's office. While the Gravity star was contemplating how she was going to explain what happened to Tatum or Dewan, the principal had a better idea.

Since the girls liked to be competitive with one another, she was going to put them to the task of seeing who could be the kindest to the other, and the plan that worked like a charm.

"Do you remember there was a day they had an altercation and I said 'Do I need to call Channing or Jenna, what do I need to do?'" Bullock asked Tatum.

"And they said, 'No, we're going to give them a task, a challenge.' And the challenge was: who can be the nicest to the other one? So they were bringing each other little Dixie cups of water."

Once the girls got to the point where they grew tired of competing with one another and stopped "trying to alpha the other one out" things became much calmer. But that does not mean there are not still lingering feelings about the whole ordeal today.

"I've blocked it all out," Tatum confessed. And for her part, Bullock said "There's some PTSD attached to it."

All joking aside, the biggest thing that helped the girls to put any residual issues they had with one another was being on set with Bullock and Tatum on The Lost City. The movie was filmed during COVID, so the girls had no choice but to be together. And in doing so, became great friends in the process.

How Sandra Bullock's And Channing Tatum's Daughters Feel About Each Other Today

Given the amount of time Laila and Everly spent together on set, they became fast friends. And that fact did not change once the film wrapped.

"They're both equally suited and they were both as strong but now we had a month for them to be quarantined while we were filming and it was a love fest," Bullock explained. "Just sleepovers, everyone in my bed. It was everyone, not Channing. Just the kids. Channing got the night off, he was off with his buddies."

Channing seconds the fact that the girls could not be closer now; "They love each other now, literally can’t, like, get enough of each other. They just want to hang out all the time."

And just like that, the two competitive girls who always wanted to be better than the other buried the hatchet. This a fact that the world needs to watch out for because Laila and Everly sound like a force of nature on their own. But together, they may just be unstoppable.
