Hailey Baldwin-Bieber is no stranger to the public eye. In the span of two years, she went from being known as a member of one of Hollywood's most elite families, to creating her own with one of the biggest entertainers of the last two decades, and one of the most notoriously followed celebrities of an era, Justin Bieber.

The future Mrs. Bieber would grow up to be the one less lonely girl her future husband sang about, but there were still plenty of reasons why her newfound status as the wife of a celebrity heartthrob perhaps made her feel lonely and in need of support while she adjusted to an incredibly unusual lifestyle. As a public figure and content creator herself, it would make sense for Hailey to try and bridge any kind of gap between her own business and the dedicated fanbase of 'Beliebers' who were now frequenting her feeds.

Getting married can be a monumental step in any woman's life, coming with countless types of adjustments to her new status. Not only did Bieber have to go through the common motions of adjustment women experience, but she also had to adjust to her new unique life and title as Mrs. Justin Bieber.

One component of Bieber's career wherein she is able to be on her own and present her life and views aside from her husband or her modeling jobs is her YouTube channel where she hosts guests from many different avenues, covering everyone from doctors to Jenners. In her videos, Bieber comes face-to-face with her guests with the intention of holding space for them to tell their stories and share insight from their respective professions.

Recently, Bieber filmed a video where she hosted psychiatrist Dr. Jessica Clemons, and the duo discussed social media and its impacts on culture and within different age groups, particularly teenage girls and young women in their twenties. Bieber was candid while opening up about her own experience with social media. She revealed one of her biggest struggles had to do with "Body comparisons," and acknowledged the power social media commentary held for her, eventually leading her to "Question everything."

Beiber knew early on in her marriage to Justin she would need boundaries with social media for her well-being. She confided in Dr. Clemons how one of her biggest tools for putting a limit on her social media use involves remaining logged out of Instagram on weekdays. Don't count on trying to find an official Twitter account for Beiber or receiving a reply after sliding into her DMs; she does not have a Twitter and described her feeling toward the app as being a "Toxic environment" and revealed the chain reaction of feelings 'the bird app' stirs up within. Beiber's fans wouldn't want to perpetuate negative feelings or put her in a place of wanting to "throw up" every time she logged online.

As of now, Bieber is most comfortable having her boundaries up with social media, but she is aware of the potential for social media not to be negative or always inspire negative feelings. An important point in her discussion with Dr. Clemons was raised about a certain way in which social media users spend time on the app. They can sometimes forget the other user on the opposite side of the screen is an actual human being. Bieber was adamant in bringing attention to the human emotions we all feel at our core, regardless if we are in the public eye or not. She also candidly revealed she is "Working through" what she perceives to be a personal "downfall" of wanting to please every person behind their screens on social media.

Transparency is an important element within the subject of accessibility and how it relates to celebrities, a key aspect Hailey Bieber and her guest Dr. Jessica Clemons mention in their frank discussion about social media and the adverse effect it can have on users. With Bieber's personal take on accessibility, she is making it so that her fans can 'access' her through a more careful lens. The true 'win' for Bieber's fans exists in the way her 'careful lens' can be viewed as an example of a more considerate boundary in the ongoing and much-needed discussion surrounding celebrities, accessibility, and ultimately their humanity.
