It seems natural given all her fame, that Jennifer Lopez has a few imposters out there. As for sisters, J-Lo has two, Lynda and Leslie Lopez. As far as a secret twin goes, we can shoot that theory out the window. However, there was a certain influencer fans kept mentioning, and she goes by the name of Connie Pena. Similar to J-Lo, she's a dancer, singer and given her Instagram account, a big fan of posting content on TikTok. Fans believe the two have an uncanny resemblance and of course, they would ultimately end up meeting. Lopez always has time for fans, even during her tough days, as she admitted with the LA Times, "I just try to stay super conscious of the fact that I have a responsibility,” Lopez said. “And it’s not that I don’t have bad days. I’m a human being.”
As for Connie, she experienced a day like no other back in 2019, finally getting to meet her hero, and the person she is often mistaken for. Pena went into detail describing the moment, of course, she was extremely nervous during their brief encounter. It is a moment she won't forget, that's for darn sure.
World's Colliding
It isn't often that a fan gets to meet a celebrity, due to the fact that they look eerily similar. Pena got to experience that honor at the Xcel Energy Center. She discussed the encounter in detail on her IG page, "I finally got the opportunity to meet Ms. Jennifer Lopez, the LEGEND, My ICON, and the woman that has motivated me and impacted my life in so many ways! This day changed my life. I had been waiting so very long for this day to come. I’ve never been so nervous in my life! It has been 1 year to date that I announced to the world that I would be doing the first-ever tribute to her. I had a million questions and words in my mind ask her that day, but being in her presence, face to face, I got so nervous that I couldn’t even ask her 1 question. The only thing I could get out of my mouth was thanking her for being who she is and how much of a motivation she has been to me and how I am working really hard to bring the first tribute show to her in her honor. It was such a blessing to see her reaction and smile at me and the HUG we had given to each other was unforgettable. Hearing her tell me that “WE LOOK ALIKE,” made my heart drop with joy! Thank you @jlo for always giving us, your fans, and your supporters the best of you! As a mother of 2 myself, I know it’s not easy, but you always have a way to pull it off and give the World 🌎 the best of who you are and for that I admire and respect you as a mother, strong Latin women, entertainer, entrepreneur, and leader!"
Take a scroll down Connie Pena's IG page and judge for yourself. Fans are split as to how closely the two resemble one another. Clearly, they aren't sisters though some might argue Pena is trying to impersonate her hero's look. All in good fun, of course!
