Stuck in a love-hate relationship with his fans, Draco Malfoy became trending on Twitter, when girls showered their love on the character, sharing pictures of a young, jaw-dropping Malfoy.

Other Harry Potter fans joined the bandwagon, appreciating Tom Felton's excellent portrayal of the most loved villain in the history of fanfiction. Some said, "RT if you have been simping over Draco Malfoy since the very beginning." While others were quick to express their hatred, saying, "why is draco malfoy trending this man would spit on all of you and call you annoying."

This fan-following gave rise to numerous theories, one of the most popular of which still remains to be that Malfoy is actually a werewolf.

J.K Rowling's book series and its movie adaptations keep making the theory resurface every now and then. Considering how the theory stems from Rowling's discreet hints in her books, it only seems true that Malfoy did, in between, turn into a werewolf.

The first evidence that came to light was when Draco's father, Lucius, failed Voldemort. He could not obtain the much-sought prophecy. Now, think of the scene from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince where Remus Lupin talks about how the Dark Lord would often order Fenrir Greyback ( a werewolf), to bite his enemies' children. Considering this, what makes Draco Malfoy so special as to not be punished by He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named?

Greyback was quite close to the Malfoys. This raises suspicion, as Malfoys were prejudiced against non-purebloods (which werewolves are), but yet they called Greyback a close family friend.

The whole transformation of Draco into a werewolf is like to have happened in between Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. This also provides an explanation for the character's sudden change of behavior in the latter film.

The most noticeable changes being pale and sick overall appearance, which were initially thought to be because of Draco's issues dealing with the responsibilities of being a Death Eater. Fans say that the Dark Mark the character shows could easily be the werewolf bite.

All this evidence sure seems quite compelling to draw a case of Draco being a werewolf, but it wasn't long before Rowling stepped in and dismissed the theory, saying that Draco was certainly not a werewolf.

Nonetheless, Potterheads are still not convinced with the idea that Draco wasn't bitten by Greyback. And it's only natural because Rowling has a history of twisting the Harry Potter series canon.
