Adam Sandler appeared on a recent episode of The Drew Barrymore Show to discuss Netflix horror comedy Hubie Halloween and… a weird feud rumor between Barrymore and Jennifer Aniston.

Sandler has recently played the titular role in a feel-good Halloween scary comedy, premiered on the streaming platform on October 7. Like most Sandler’s characters, Hubie DuBois is a bizarre, good-natured man caring for his community — the spooky town of Salem, Massachusetts. As people start disappearing under mysterious circumstances, Hubie will step up and try and solve this Halloween mystery.

Hubie Halloween boasts a stellar cast, including June Squibb, SNL actress Maya Rudolph, as well as frequent Sandler’s collaborators, such as Ben Stiller, Kevin James, and Rob Schneider.

Drew Barrymore And Adam Sandler Address Barrymore-Aniston Debate

Sandler and Barrymore starred together in two romcoms, 1998 movie The Wedding Singer and the 2004 cult film 50 First Dates. The two actors also reprised their 50 First Dates roles in a spoof clip to launch Barrymore’s talk show.

However, Barrymore isn’t the only actress associated with Sandler. The Uncut Gems protagonist has worked on several films alongside The Morning Show star Jennifer Aniston. The Internet couldn’t stand the idea of two great actresses collaborating with the same actor without necessarily entering a competition and decided to have a debate about which actress has greater chemistry with him. Barrymore and Sandler promptly shut down any feud rumors.

“I just got excited, there was like, a hot debate on Twitter about you, me, and Aniston,” Barrymore told Sandler in their video chat.

“I love you, you know I love Aniston and so do you, we’re all great friends,” he said.

Sandler also said that the debate sounded “nuts.”

“What I wanted to do is respond and say, ‘I would pick [Aniston] too’ and let everyone know that we all are kind of like, a triangle,” Barrymore then added.

How About A 'Triangle' Movie?

The Santa Clarita Diet actress also suggested she, Aniston, and Sandler do a movie together, where she would ride off into the sunset with the Friends star.

“Anybody who sees the three of us together would be like, ‘Sandman, you gotta go, man, you don’t belong with those two nice, smart, good-looking ladies, you’re pathetic, beat it,’” Sandler joked.

“But somehow I locked into both of your lives, so I’m staying there,” he continued.

Barrymore promised to clear her schedule should the opportunity for a movie with Sandler and Aniston arise. We’re sure fans would clear theirs, too.
