Right from his earlier days in Hollywood, shooting 'The Mummy Returns', it became apparent very quickly, Dwayne Johnson is a beast at the box office.

What makes the actor that much greater, is how genuine he is, heck this is the guy that refused to conform with Hollywood and fired his entire team. Once he made that decision, films like 'The Fast And The Furious' changed his career completely.

Speaking of that film, it did cause some controversy behind the scenes, especially given the relationship between DJ and Vin Diesel. As it turns out, The Rock isn't entirely comfortable talking about the matter.

While alongside Andy Cohen on 'Watch What Happens Live', DJ refused to answer a certain question in regards to his relationship with the 'Fast and Furious' star.

Dwayne Johnson Has A Rocky History With Vin Diesel

Dwayne Johnson is one of the most loveable actors in all of Hollywood. Rarely have we heard anything negative regarding DJ and his time on a movie set, aside from one instance.

While filming 'The Fast And The Furious' alongside Vin Diesel, things took an awkward twist between the two. Vin Diesel did go on the record, stating that he was a bit harsh with his approach.

As for DJ, he was completely transparent about the ordeal, even mentioning alongside Vanity Fair that cast members actually thanked him for standing up to Vin.

"Some (male co-stars) conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't," Johnson wrote at the time, leading to speculation he was talking about Diesel."It caused a firestorm. Yet interestingly enough...[it was] as if every single crew member found their way to me and either quietly thanked me or sent me a note," Johnson told Vanity Fair. "But, yeah, it wasn't my best day, sharing that. I shouldn't have shared that. Because at the end of the day, that goes against my DNA."

Andy Cohen tried to get some more information about DJ and Vin's broken relationship, though this time around, The Rock figured it was a better idea to just pass on the question.

Andy Cohen Asked Dwayne Johnson A Question About Vin Diesel On 'Watch What Happens Live' Which He Refused To Answer

A few years back, Dwayne Johnson appeared on 'Watch What Happens Live' alongside Andy Cohen. The show has a segment called 'Plead The Fifth', which involves deep and personal questions. It was right out of the gate, after the first question, that DJ decided to indeed, "plead the fifth."

Cohen wasted no time, bringing up The Rock's Hollywood beef, "In 2016 you allegedly called Vin Diesel a candy a**, an unprofessional on Instagram and didn't film any scenes together on 'The Fate And The Furious'. What was the most unprofessional behavior you witnessed from Vin on set and will you ever film a scene with him again?"

The loaded question was met with a smile from DJ, though he looked rather uncomfortable. The Rock nodded his head and simply said, "I gotta plead the fifth on that one."

The interview was conducted back in 2018, so it remains to be seen if DJ still feels the same way in regards to his co-star today.

Regardless, fans were nothing but team DJ when it came to his answer on live TV, deciding not to respond.

Fans Agreed That Dwayne Johnson Handled The Situation Correctly And With Class

As far as the fans go, DJ made the right decision by not answering the question. It really didn't come as a surprise to the fans via YouTube.

"You knew he wouldn't answer the Vin Diesel question because Dwayne is a gentleman."

"I don’t think the rock can ever do ANYTHING wrong... he’s just always said and done the right things at the right time."

Fans would also make mention that the fact that he passed on the question, in general, spoke volumes as to how broken the relationship really is today.

Other fans would've loved for Cohen to have asked that question at the end, in the event that he had already used his pass.

"They should've saved that question for last."

Despite the feud, Vin Diesel remains open to working alongside The Rock again in the future. He had taken to IG a few months back, asking the star to rejoin the cast for one final film. Given The Rock's crazy schedule and the fact that he never answered, it seems as though that is less likely to go down.
