Over the years, it has become commonly known that working with kids and animals can be a real nightmare for people in Hollywood. As a result of the popularity of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and The Suite Life on Deck, the Sprouse brothers managed to expand their fan following throughout their teen years. Cole Sprouse Is The Less Controversial Brother
During the early stages of Dylan and Cole’s career, a lot of people saw each of them as one half of a singular entity, the Sprouse brothers. As the two actors grew up and became men, however, most people now realize that Cole and Dylan are very different in a lot of ways. For example, most people would argue that Cole is the less controversial Sprouse brother but even with that in mind, it is important to note that Cole has messed up.
Since Cole and Dylan Sprouse’s acting careers were linked for many, many years, it is interesting to note that it has been a long time since the twins have co-starred in anything together. As it turns out, there is a reason for that, the brothers have agreed to decouple their careers by mostly avoiding working together. Since he stars in Riverdale as Jughead and his character has a lookalike cousin in the comics, people who want to see Dylan play his brother’s fictional cousin mainly blame Cole for depriving them.
When it comes to Cole and Dylan Sprouse, the brothers have a lot of fans who care very deeply about them. When Cole was in Vancouver attempting to film for Riverdale, a local street performer refused to leave the area or quiet down so that the production could go forward. When the street performer requested money to quiet down, Cole openly called her a scam artist. In response, the performer wrote on social media "Cole Sprouse acted like a spoiled brat and tried to bully me with his popularity. He has no idea that his actions make him look bad not me." In the aftermath of this situation, a lot of people sided with Cole since Riverdale had a permit to film there. Still, anytime a celebrity gets called a brat is bound to make them look bad to some observers.
Dylan Sprouse Has Gotten Himself In Hot Water A Lot
Unfortunately, Dylan Sprouse is no stranger to controversy including the time he was accused of cheating. As fans who have followed the Sprouse brothers’ love life will already know, Dylan dated Dayna Frazer for three years. Then, she deleted all traces of him from Instagram and posted an image of herself crying with the caption "When you find out your bf cheated on you lol." After remaining silent on the situation at first, Dylan called the situation “complicated” on Twitter which resulted in a lot of people presuming he was unfaithful.
While it is bad enough to be called a cheater, it was a lot worse when Dylan was accused of racism due to a social media post. In June of 2019, a lot of people were mad at Dylan Sprouse when his account Tweeted something racist. In this case, however, it quickly became clear that Dylan had done nothing wrong as his account had been taken over by a hacker. On the other hand, Dylan was accused of racism due to another social media post, and at that time he was at fault. After all, Dylan made the bewildering decision to post an image of his then-girlfriend Dayna Frazer with her skin digitally darkened with the caption “My African Queen”.
Unfortunately, there is another fact about Dylan Sprouse that has resulted in some people wondering about his personal beliefs. In the past, Dylan has stated that he believes in Asatru, a controversial religion that a lot of people have linked to white supremacy and the far right. While there is no doubt that some Asatru believers are white supremacists, it is important to note that there is no evidence that Dylan has that kind of hate in his heart.
On another occasion, Dylan Sprouse found himself in a controversial situation and he was the victim that time. In the modern world, a lot of people opt to take photos of themselves in the buff and send them to a certain someone in their life. Unfortunately for Dylan, when he took photos like that when he was 21, the images were leaked online. While Dylan later Tweeted that he “messed up”, whoever leaked the images is the villain of the story.
