Blue Bloods heartthrob Donnie Wahlberg needed more than just one shot at love. In the early 1990s, he fell for Kimberley Fey. The pair tied the knot just before the millennium, only to divorce in 2008 due to irreconcilable differences. Xavier & Ethan: First Marriage Mystery
Wahlberg’s two sons from his first marriage are a huge mystery to the public. They rarely appear in the spotlight and almost never appear on the star’s Instagram account. According to Wahlberg, however, there is a reason for this: his sons want nothing to do with his fame.
Xavier, in particular, likes to keep his name out of the press. In an interview with Jana Souskova, Wahlberg even explained that he couldn’t share too many details about Xavier’s life: “My older son— I’m not going to say his name, because he’ll get mad at me if he happens to see thus— but he’s in a band.”
When it comes to his younger son Elijah, however, Wahlberg is a little more open about sharing. In the same interview, the star revealed that his son is actually a top student. “He’s fun, but he just got straight As on his report card... I think he’s had one B in his four years of school,” Wahlberg revealed.
Clearly the father of two has a lot of love for his two sons, and how could he not? With a talented musician and a young brainiac on his hands, Wahlberg is a proud papa. We only wish that he would hold back on all of the secrecy so we could know more about his young fam!
Step-Fathering With Love
Wahlberg also became a step-father to Evan, McCarthy’s son from a previous marriage. Since Evan is autistic, he requires hands-on parenting. According to McCarthy, Wahlberg has stepped up and become the best dad possible for her child.
Country Living reports that McCarthy even spoke out about Wahlberg’s positive influence in her family’s life. “Donnie has been amazing. I thought for sure I would be going at it alone, like many parents with kids with autism do. So the fact that I found the love of my life for me, and Evan found a stepdad in his life, I feel like I can’t ask for more,” McCarthy said. So sweet!
