The Inauguration Day fireworks welcomed President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris into four years of new beginnings. Blazing colors boomed over the U.S. capital and wowed with their extravagance.

For some, including Busy Philipps, the number of fireworks was a bit too much. At least that's what she voiced on Twitter, to which Elizabeth Banks replied with her own opinion.

Fireworks Like The Fourth of July

Banks first tweeted out that her son loved the dazzling celebration in the sky, "My son watching #InaugurationDay fireworks: 'my eyes just exploded.'"

One of her fans agreed by comparing the show to Disney World's, "I think they beat Disney's, and I am a disney addict. Could be the emotional high I'm on... No definitely better than Disney's. Wow."

Actor and Instagram story pro Busy Philipps used the moment to share some live commentary, "It seems like too many fireworks?"

Philipps has vocally rooted for Biden and Harris, so it's not a passive-aggressive Trump-supporter comment.  She's outspoken, as anyone who follows her on social media knows. Her famous friend Banks, who also attended her 40th birthday party in Cabo, teased her back via Twitter.

Banks tweeted back to Philipps, "I was into it." The two are often into the same thing; publicizing causes that give back to those in need and standing up for women's rights.

Friends Who Support The Same Cause

Banks and Philipps have actually rallied together in the past to advocate for reproductive rights. In March of 2020,  they joined pro-choice activists as members of the Center for Reproductive Rights Creative Council.

With that information in mind, this is most likely banter between friends who are relishing in the glow of Biden and Harris' Inauguration.

In fact, they've spent much of their quarantine time tweeting back and forth in the name of charity. Banks notified her followers last April that Philipps would match and double any donation made to The LEE Initiative.

The Kentucky-based organization partnered with Maker's Mark to provide relief for chefs and restaurant workers who lost their job during the pandemic.

Philipps also shared Banks' photo of Bernie Sanders cropped into a scene of The Big Lebowski. They feed off each other's wit with the understanding that they desire the same goal.

One of those goals was reached yesterday, even if the fireworks to celebrate were too loud for one of them.
