The controversy surrounding the behavior and demeanor of Ellen DeGeneres has been under the microscope for many years now, and fans truly believe the end of The Ellen Show is a result of the fact that she has fallen from grace.

There have been so many people that have spoken out about the abusive manner in which they were treated by Ellen, but now, her ex-girlfriend, Hollywood star Anne Heche, has shared her feelings about Ellen in a very candid, revealing way.

If there was any confusion about what the real Ellen DeGeneres is all about, it has now been clarified by someone who most definitely had the inside scoop.

Anne Heche Spills All

During a recent interview, Anne Heche seemed truly grateful and appreciative of the fact that her opinion is being sought after. After dating Ellen for just over three and a half years, it's safe to say that she has the inside scoop about what the 'real' Ellen DeGeneres is all about.

Heche outlined her experiences with Ellen respectfully and made it clear that she would not engage in any Ellen-bashing, but her honest account of what life was like with Ellen behind closed doors, told fans everything they need to know.

In the initial moments of the interview, Heche described how submissive she had to be to Ellen's needs and demands, and stated; "every day of my life with her was reaching out to make peace."

Heche went on to describe how she gave up much of her life, on Ellen's demand. She threw shade at Ellen gracefully, without trashing her, but it was clear in her description that Ellen needed someone inferior, and for a long while, she willingly played that role. Anne indicated that she gave up her acting career and "grew a garden, and started to write" and then referenced Ellen by saying  that "nothing satisfied her soul."

So, It's True...

When she was asked about the allegations made against Ellen for creating a toxic, abusive environment, Anne swiftly indicated; "the story that needs to be listened to, was told," referring to those who spoke out about her former girlfriend. She then went on to say; "The abusive environment is something I understood."

Anne calmly and respectfully went on to paint a picture of Ellen DeGeneres being very controlling, and she stated that the moment she knew she had to break things off was when she started getting further from friends and was feeling "shut off, shut down, and shut away." After confronting Ellen about those feelings, Ellen told Anne that she "didn't want a girlfriend that needed friends."

In spite of what was a clearly unbalanced relationship, Anne Heche spoke without trashing Ellen, and gave what appears to be an honest recount of some very troubling times. Times that indeed do correlate with the toxic version of Ellen DeGeneres that has recently come to light.
