The first season of Emily in Paris was remarkable. It is true that it received batches of mixed reviews but for the most part, a lot of people generally really enjoyed it. It was fun to watch, episode to episode, and a huge reason why is because Lily Collins really pulled her weight making it happen.

Season two has been confirmed and was renewed officially on November 11, 2020. Fans of the show are unsure of what is to come but we have a few big ideas of what we are hopeful to see once it finally does premiere on Netflix.

10 A Romance Between Emily & Camille

It was heavily hinted at that Camille had a crush on Emily in season one of the show. At one point in time, the girls even kissed! Emily said she was sorry but Camille said that she wasn’t. If that is any indication that Camille is into Emily, there should hopefully be something sprouting up between the two in season two. When asked about her dating preferences, Emily said that she preferred men. That doesn’t mean she completely counts out women!

9 Camille Finding Out About Emily & Gabriel

It’s going to be super interesting to find out how Camille will react to discovering Emily and Gabriel’s hook up. Although Emily and Gabriel waited until Gabriel and Camille were broken up to hook up, the fact that they still hooked up is pretty messed up. And on top of that, Gabriel was acting super flirtatious with Emily the entire time, even before Emily knew about Camille. And on top of that, they shared a kiss behind Camille’s back (before Gabriel and her broke up) that Camille still doesn’t even know about!

8 More Fashion & More French

In season one, viewers got to watch Emily try her best to learn the language of French. She was taking French classes and studying every now and then to try to pick up the language. French is one of the most beautiful languages spoken so it will be great to hear more of it in season two. There also needs to be a lot more fashion! Every single episode in season one included Emily walking down the streets of Paris wearing some of the prettiest outfits with the most trendy accessories. She could fit in with the cast of Gossip Girl or Sex & the City.

7 A Softer Side Of Sylvie

Sylvie always had such a short temper and a bad attitude. Dealing with her was difficult for Emily throughout the entire first season. She was a huge naysayer when it came to making any positive changes. There were moments in the first season when Sylvie revealed a softer side and showed the world that she was actually a real person with human emotions. Seeing more than season two will help her become more of a likable character and less of a villain.

6 More Singing By Mindy Chen

The character of Mindy Chen revealed that she knows how to sing on the streets of Paris. A crowd formed around her as she performed a cappella. Her voice was absolutely flawless and Emily was stunned by it.

Mindy Chen needs to get a little bit more screen time to showcase her singing talents. She might be considered a side character to Emily but that doesn’t mean that her beautiful voice doesn’t deserve a lot more attention.

5 Emily’s Instagram Posts... Maybe Even TikTok

Emily’s Instagram posts were really fun to pay attention to throughout the course of season one. She would take beautiful candid pictures of things going on around her in Paris and post them with sweet captions. All of her friends from the United States double tapped her creative posts because they knew that she was posting things that were artistic and amazing. In season two, Emily needs to definitely keep up with Instagram posting. She might even want to branch out to TikTok. Lily Collin's real-life Instagram account is fun to follow too.

4 Emily’s Relatable Quotes

One of the coolest parts of season one is the fact that Emily said so many relatable things throughout. She was always dropping thoughtful gems and expressing her thoughts in a way that any twenty-something-year-old can relate to.

Emily’s relatable quotes and dialogue need to definitely play out in season two of the show because that is part of what makes her such a likable and memorable character, despite the fact that she is fictitious.

3 A Surprise Visit From Her Chicago Ex, Doug

A major thing that could stir up some drama and Emily‘s life is if she got a surprise visit from her ex-boyfriend from Chicago, Doug. They broke up on a messy phone call after she realized that he wasn’t going to take the time to come and visit her in Paris. He wasn’t willing to make things work with her long-distance even though he was comfortable agreeing to it before she left. It is obvious that he is not the right match for Emily but seeing him pop up in season two would be very interesting… Just to see how she reacts!

2 More Wit From Julien & Luc

Julien and Luc are two side characters in the show but they are just as important and integral to the storyline. They are the first people who welcomed Emily into the office and even though they didn’t like her too much at first, she grew on them and they ended up becoming good friends of hers. The best part about these two characters is the fact that they are always so witty and funny. More of their wit needs to appear in the second season of the show.

1 Another Huge Variety Of Love Interests For Emily

Let’s not pretend that Emily didn’t make her rounds in season one of the show. She went from dating Doug in Chicago to hooking up with Camille‘s younger brother Timothee, to hooking up with Thomas, to kissing Matthew, to finally hooking up with Gabriel. She definitely got around and experienced what it means to “put yourself out there.” That being said, more opportunities for her to meet new potential romantic partners should be incorporated in the second season. She is young, she is beautiful, she is ambitious, and she is single. Her life in season two should be filled with romantic possibilities around every corner.
