The life of the rich and famous is something that few people will ever truly understand, and the individuals that manage to make a fortune in entertainment get to enjoy things that few other people will. Thanks to having millions of dollars at their disposal at all times, many celebrities get to flex their fortune by acquiring rare and amazing things.

Eminem is one of the most successful actors of all time, and as it turns out, he is a massive fan of comic books. Not only does he have a huge collection of Marvel, DC, and more, but he also happens to own one of the rarest and most expensive comic books in history.

Let’s take a look at the rarest book that Eminem has!

He Owns Amazing Fantasy #15

Eminem may be in possession of a lot of incredible comics, but Amazing Fantasy #15 is the book that stands tall above the rest. After all, this book is the one that introduced the world to a little character named Spider-Man.

At this point in time, Spider-Man is one of the biggest and most popular fictional characters in history, but there was once a time when he was the new kid on the block that was looking to make waves in the world of comics. Little did Marvel know what they were getting themselves into when Amazing Fantasy #15 hit the stands.

This landmark issue was released back in 1962, meaning that Spider-Man is coming up on being in print for 60 years. The character has gone through a number of ups and downs, but through the years, Steve Ditko and Stan Lee’s creation has become the face of Marvel.

Naturally, finding a copy of an original printing of Amazing Fantasy #15 is incredibly hard to do. There are only so many original printings of comics that can take place at one time, and the likelihood of stumbling across one of these books is super rare. Should a person be able to find a copy of this in great condition, then they are going to be paying a fortune to acquire one.

A Mint Condition Issue Is Worth Over $1 Million

So, how rare and valuable is this book? Back in 2011, a copy of Amazing Fantasy #15 that was nearly in mint condition was able to fetch $1.1 million at auction. Yes, a comic book was able to land over $1 million!

Most people out of the loop may not know that there are some comics out there that are unbelievably valuable. The biggest books of all time featuring iconic moments and characters are the ones that people look for, and some even see buying comic books as a potential investment to make given the potential that they have of increasing in value.

There have been other copies of this same book that have fetched a hefty price through the years. There have been multiple copies to get over $400,000 at auction, which is just an unreal price tag for a comic book.

This type of money for someone like Eminem isn’t that big of a deal, and clearly, he must fancy himself a huge Spider-Man fan. There aren’t too many books out there worth this type of money, but as Spider-Man continues to thrive on the big screen and in print, it is possible that this book will simply continue to increase in value over time.

He Has A Massive Collection

Eminem must have spent a fortune to acquire that rare book, but there is no official amount that he spent at this time. Interestingly, the huge collection that the rapper owns has apparently shocked some people.

According to MTV, Riggs Morales, who was an executive at Eminem’s Shady Records, has seen the massive collection.

Morales would say, “I've gotten a small glimpse of Eminem's collection, and Eminem's collection is otherworldly. [He has items that] aren't even on display at the stores.”

Morales continued, saying, “As a collector, you grew up and it's a myth! You can't afford it. The only way that you can try to touch that comic is if it's right in front of you, or you're purchasing it. To see it in your face — it's in 'Pulp Fiction' when John Travolta opened up the briefcase [with awe, regarding a never-revealed object]. It's like that."

Eminem himself would tell Genius, “Just being able to have those pieces of history is crazy. I would not want to face off with somebody comparing comic book knowledge, but I know a pretty good amount."
