Eminem is busy celebrating what seems like a “Recovery 10th Anniversary”-month by rolling out a major limited-edition merchandise marketing campaign. The collection is available for preorder exclusively on eminem.com and offers two long-sleeve gender-neutral t-shirts: one with the Recovery logo print, and another with the lyrics from Not Afraid single.

To make the campaign even more authentic and nostalgic, the legendary rapper shared the original commercial for Recovery, starring Offer Shlomi, who was all over cable TV in 2010 when the album dropped. Recovery, which received the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album and was named one of the best albums of the year by Rolling Stone, totally deserves Eminem’s marketing efforts.

Also Known As “The Slap Chop Guy”

Raised your eyebrows at Offer Shlomi? That is probably because you know him better as Vince Offer, Vince Shlomi, The ShamWow Guy, or The Slap Chop Guy. Offer is an Israeli-American infomercial pitchman, actor, director, writer, and comedian, who started his career appearing in the 1999 The Underground Comedy Movie. But he is most famous for starring in the ShamWow! and Slap Chop kitchen-gadget infomercials. And we have to admit–Offer is inimitable in the Recovery infomercial.

“Stop Having A Boring Life!”

Stop Having A Boring Life! truly takes us back in time to when big things still happened on TV and were available at Best Buy, and offers a hilarious parody of a kitchen-gadget infomercial.

“Hey, it’s Vince with Eminem's new album Recovery. You are going to be clapping when you hear Eminem rapping,” Offer says, “[...] MP3 players are boring, stop having a boring life! With Eminem’s Recovery, you’ll use it in the house, the car, the funeral. Now, you’ll have an exciting life!” He then uses it as a beer coaster and as a knife to slice cheese and chop onions, claiming that “the Eminem Recovery CD has dozens of uses.”

The information ends with two girls screaming: “All I can say is EmWow!” (referring to ShamWow! of course).

Please be advised that the limited edition Recovery collection is only available for 24 hours. It will sell at $35 per t-shirt, and the products will ship on August 10th.
