Throughout the course of his career, Eminem's tenure as one of the greats in hip-hop has gone through so many changes. The Detroit rapper's rise to superstardom began in the late 1990s, as he signed to Dr. Dre's then-newly formed Aftermath Entertainment, and the rest is history. The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP, and The Eminem Show put him on the Mount Rushmore of hip-hop, and his longevity in the game is not questionable.

Located in Union Assembly in Detroit, the restaurant's concept began all the way back in 2017 during the Revival album era when it started as a pop-up shop. 4 Eminem Spent Millions On Two Michigan Properties

3 He Built His Own Recording Label

Thanks to the success of The Slim Shady LP in the late 1990s, Eminem and his longtime manager Paul Rosenberg built Shady Records. The label, founded in 1999, saw massive success in the early 2000s for launching many hip-hop stars at the time from 50 Cent, Obie Trice, G-Unit, and more. Unfortunately, the label has seen many artists coming and going in recent years. Shady Records now serves as a home for Westside Boogie, Conway the Machine, and independent rapper Grip.

"Obviously we want anyone who signs with Shady to succeed. But first and foremost, we’ve always focused on the raw talent and ability of the artist as an MC. We’ve always been pretty clear on that being the main thing we look for: high level fundamental skills and mechanics are definitely the priority," he talked about his philosophy of signing artists to Shady.

"I have a niece that I have helped raise too, that’s kind of like a daughter pretty much like a daughter to me and she’s 26 and then I have a younger one that’s 17 now," he said during an episode of Hotboxin' podcast with Mike Tyson.
