The actors first met each other on the set of the Broadway play of Hamilton back in 2015. At the time, Daveed Diggs originated the dual roles of Thomas Jefferson and Marquis de Lafayette. On the other hand, Emmy Raver-Lampman played the ensemble member of the cast and understudied three lead female roles. Despite the success of Hamilton, however, the two stars eventually left the play in 2016.
Their departure from the Broadway show, luckily, didn’t sever their connection. In fact, the stars kept in contact through Instagram. In the winter of 2017, Diggs posted a cute photo of his and Lampman’s feet next to each other. In 2018, their friendship blossomed into something more when Diggs invited Lampman to his parent’s house for Thanksgiving. The Tony-Award-winning actor posted a photo from his family’s Thanksgiving weekend, with Lampman front and center, laughing her heart out. It would’ve been cuter had the two snuggled next to each other in the photo.
By the year 2020, the cat was out the bag. Daveed Diggs had officially exposed their relationship to the world during an interview with The Los Angeles Times. The star admitted that two had moved into a house together they bought two years ago. That same year, the couple stepped out on the red-carpet during Raver-Lampman’s movie premiere of aTypical Wednesday. Could they be any cuter?

Daveed Diggs and Emily Raver-Lampman make a great pair together. Not only are they one handsome couple, but the fact they’re super talented, makes them relationship goals. While Emily Raver-Lampman stars in the most successful super-hero shows on Netflix, Daveed Diggs’ acting credits are just as impressive.
The 39-year-old has appeared in a slew of films like Zootopia and Ferdinand. Additionally, he’s worked on popular television series such as Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Black-ish, and the Amazon series Undone. Furthermore, he co-wrote and starred in the 2018 comedy-drama Blindspotting. Though, his tv break-out role came after playing the part of Andre Layton on TNT’s Snowpiercer in 2020. The guy keeps himself busy, that’s for sure.
An Actor-Turned Rapper
In addition to becoming a respected actor, Diggs is pursuing a career in music. The Grammy and Tony award acting works as the lead vocalist for the experimental, hip hop group Clipping. The three-man band draws inspiration from rap storytellers of yore like The Geto Boys and Gravediggaz. Sources described their sound as “raw and gritty with a distinct groove.” With talents in both music and acting, Daveed Diggs just became one of the most talented entertainers in Hollywood.
