Updated August 2023: Gabriel Macht has continued to enjoy a hiatus from acting since 'Suits' ended in 2019 being a dad to two children and a husband to fellow actor, Jacinda Barrett.
Macht does not post much to social media, but two of the most recent and significant Instagram stories he published over the last several months have to do with 'Suits' and the WGA and SAG/AFTRA strike.
With 'Suits' entire series being released to Netflix for the next two years, Macht spoke about how appreciative he is that fans want to come back and watch the show, which 3.4 billion minutes of the show downloaded as of the end of July 2023.
Macht also stated that he supports his fellow actors and the writers who are on strike so that they can get fair payment for the long hours spent working on and creating shows.
10 Gabriel Macht Celebrated His Brother's Wedding
A little less than a month after Macht wrapped up Suits, he shared a photo that he took with his newly married brother, Jesse Macht, who is a musician. Jesse got married to Lindsay Wolf in towards the end of 2019.
“The weekend was smooth sailing,” Macht wrote of the nuptials. He also gave his other brother, TV editor Ari Macht a shout-out, noting that things went as smoothly as an Ari Macht frisbee throw.
Safe to say, the actor enjoyed his time with family after a long tenure on the show.
9 Gabriel Macht Went Exploring In The Scottish Highlands
On October 2019, Macht explored the Scottish Highlands. He shared pictures of his visit, accompanying them with a description by his wife, Jacinda Barrett.
"Gliding past castles, lochs and stone ruins, we’re on our way to ‘the little bay’ in Scottish Gaelic. Chopped trees in bundles and rotting wood fences descend to pools of water, shimmering silver. All of it blurs beyond my window as if signaling our transience."
He continued, "Beyond is a harbor with a large cruise ship and houses lining the inlet, and even further in the deepest distance is the ever-present moss on ancient rocks, the bundles of purple heather and the wind curled Scottish pines that carpet the mountains. The land is theirs. I want to sit and stare out the window at them, undisturbed, for as long as I can but children call me back."
8 Gabriel Macht Celebrated 18 Years Of Marriage
December 2022 marked the milestone of 18 years since Macht had been married to Barrett, and 22 years since they first got together. Barrett, an actress, has appeared in films such as The Last Kiss, The Human Stain, and Ladder 49.
On television, she made her debut on The Real World: London, and has since appeared on shows like Millenium and Bloodline. Barrett also played Harvey Specter’s love interest, Zoey, in Suits.

In January 2023, Macht turned 51. A few years ago, in celebration of this special day, the actor had a message to share with his followers. He touched on parenting, citing that he wanted his children to not be misguided.
Macht further mentioned that our planet is beautiful, but there is a need to have a few things fixed. He advocated for meatless Mondays, where he urged his audience to take one day per week off meat.

In support of those unsung heroes, Macht showed support for Dine 11, a not-for-profit organization based in Los Angeles, California, aimed at delivering meals to frontline workers.

When Macht was not advocating for social distancing and urging his followers to keep the quarantine culture alive, he was sporting a quarantine beard and shooting a no-so-Harvey-like pilot with his co-producer, Barrett.

The Macht family is an acting family. Gabriel's dad, Stephen Macht, made an appearance on Suits as Professor Henry Gerard.
On his dad's 78th birthday, Gabriel shared a photo of his dad.
"Grateful that my father’s excitement, warmth, and passion for life is as balanced as his concern for the future."
Gabriel also supported his father’s Masterclass, telling his audience that he has a Ph.D. in Hollywood.
