When the world was first introduced to JoJo Siwa, she was a student in Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition with dance instructor Abby Miller. Siwa was the youngest competitor in her season of the competition, and she finished within the top 5. Fans didn't have to wait long to see her again, as she appeared on the series Dance Moms, again with Abby Miller.

No matter if you saw Siwa first during her Dance Mom days, on Nickelodeon, or in a music video for one of her songs; there was something fans could expect to see when it came to her look. Siwa often rocked a big bow and ponytail, the combo was a signature for her. So much so in fact, that JoJo Siwa started selling a line of accessories at J. C. Penney and at Claire's. If you look at most retail stores today, you'll still see those massive colorful bows -- some with Siwa's name, for sale in the children's section.

As Siwa has grown up, she's stayed true to herself and in turn, kept up with her go-to look. However, as she's grown up and started exploring herself and her life, she's made some changes across the board.

What changes has Siwa made? What do her fans think about her evolution, and what remains the same? Let's take a look.

8 JoJo's Signature Bow

Siwa's signature bow is one of the staples to Siwa's physical persona. She's always worn her infamous side pony with the big bow on top. While it's been part of who she is, and she doesn't intend to do away with it completely, fans will notice that Siwa is mixing it up with her look lately.

Instead of all bows all the time, she's been exploring other ways to wear her hair! While she still does rock a ponytail quite often, they're accessorized differently these days.

7 Lots And Lots Of Glitter

There is a lot of sparkle in JoJo Siwa's life, too! She loves to sparkle, and in addition to her rainbows and bows, she adds flair by shining up her look. Be it glitter in her hair, on her clothes, or mixed in with her make-up, Siwa is constantly glowing and it's a lovely thing to see!

6 Her Whole Life Is A Rainbow

In a podcast episode with Demi Lovato, JoJo Siwa said that she totally embraces being proud. In fact, she considers herself a walking rainbow. Siwa's personality has always been confident and full of color and magic, but that took on a different meaning when she came out earlier this year. Siwa fell in love with her best friend and shared a lot more of herself with her fans because of it. She said that the experience has grown her up some, and it's clear to fans how much joy it's brought into her life.

5 'Separating From The Bow' Was Hard

While change is good, it doesn't mean it's always easy. 'Separating' from the bow was a hard choice for JoJo Siwa because it's always been a big part of who she was. She actually said that telling her mom she wanted to change her signature hairstyle was one of the hardest things she's had to talk to her about. She felt like she was keeping something big from her mom, and when she was finally able to talk to her about everything from her sexuality to her change in appearance, she felt a weight lifted off of her shoulders.

4 She's Got A Different Persona At Home

While Siwa is a lot of sparkle and bright colors, she's not that way at home; at least, not all the time. In the same podcast episode with Demi Lovato, she discussed that at home she often wears less color and there's less sparkle. That's not to say that she's not herself when she's at home, but it's a different version, she can relax a little bit more when she's got some downtime.

3 She Wants To Try New Hair Accessories

As she wears the bow less, Siwa is excited to try new things with her hair. She's got jewels, ribbon, and lots of accessories she wants to tie into her new look. She's at an age and place in her life where it's fun to experiment with her look, and she's excited to see what that looks like for her in the future. Some days it may still a bow, but other days we may see her rocking hair glitter and jewels!
