10 They Met Online

Fans would think Jordan Peele and Chelsea Peretti would meet at an award show or red carpet event, but they actually met online. According to the Brooklyn Nine-Nine actress, the two met through social media, with Peele making the first moves.

"Me and Jordan also met on the Internet, on Twitter," she told Entertainment Weekly, adding, "He was very complimentary of the Web series I once did."

9 Andy Samberg May Have Played Matchmaker

There are also rumors that Chelsea Peretti's Brooklyn Nine-Nine co-star Andy Samberg had a role in getting the actress to give Jordan Peele a chance. According to Dish Nation, "As soon as Andy learned that Jordan expressed an interest in Chelsea he was on it."

The source added that Samberg knew the two comedians were a "great match," telling his co-star that Peele was "a good man and she needed to give him a shot."

8 They Kept Their Romance Private At First

Jordan Peele and Chelsea Peretti managed to keep their romance private for an entire year before the public knew of their relationship. According to an insider, the two wanted to make sure their relationship was a serious one.

"Jordan and Chelsea wanted to make sure they were more than just a 'fling thing.' [Now that it's] serious, they don't care who knows," a source said. While pretty much everyone knows they are married, they continue to do a great job keeping their lives relatively private.

7 Peele Proposed During A Family Talent Show

Being the private couple that they are, Peele and Peretti made their engagement announcement short and sweet back in 2015. On Twitter, the Get Out director simply tagged Peretti and added a diamond ring emoji.

But, Peretti would give just a little more insight on the proposal, tweeting, "My finance (lololol) @Jordan Peele proposed to me last night during the family talent show lolol."

6 Their Only Wedding Guest Was Their Pooch

Unlike several celeb couples who spend millions on having a lavish wedding, Peele and Peretti would end up eloping. In 2016, Peretti announced on Instagram that the two got hitched, alongside a photo of their dog, who was sitting next to a bouquet of flowers and a wedding band.

Peretti captioned her photo, "Eloped a bit ago," and added that their pooch was the only one in attendance. Two years later, the actresses revealed that they had their quick wedding in Big Sur, California.

5 They Don't Post Photos Of Their Son, Beaumont

This Hollywood couple welcomed a son named Beaumont in July 2017, but fans have yet to see a photo of his face. In 2018, the couple took a family photo during the Academy Awards, where Peele was nominated for his film, Get Out, and fans got a glimpse of their son.

The actress was seen holding Beaumont in her arms while the two were dressed to the nines, but fans only got a chance to see little Beaumont's arm and leg. While the couple is ultra-private about their son, Peele did share, "Every day is a joy."

4 'Get Out' Was Not About Peretti's Family

Jordan Peele's award-winning film, Get Out is a horror film that tackles racism, and with Peele's wife being white, a Twitter user made a comment about whether the couple's relationship had any similarities with the film.

Thankfully, being the comedian she is, Peretti took the tweet in stride, jokingly replying, "we all cried for weeks we were so hurt to see our family secrets exposed in this documentary."

3 Peretti Admitted She Wasn't Looking For Love

Chelsea Peretti wasn't looking for love before she met Jordan Peele. The actress opened up and shared that her life going in a different direction before the two first met.

"I really could have seen my life going in lots of different ways and, I really was starting to be like, you know what, maybe I'll just be traveling the world with my hilarious friends and that'll be an amazing life." However, once she met Peele, she shared, "but then luckily Jordan appeared and then I had a different path."

Talking to Us Weekly, Peele shared, "There is a lot of time when you've got to put into coming to events and talking to people who are interested in the film. I just couldn't have asked for a more supportive partner, really."

The director added, "When it gets tough, I get to come home and have the funniest person in the world in the room with me. I am forever blessed."
