When it comes to the Real Housewives, changing up the cast can either go one of two ways. Fans will either love the newest additions, or they will hate them all season long. Well, it looks like RHOSLC is getting a mini facelift with its newest cast member, Jennie Nguyen.

The second season, which aired this week, was quite the shocker, considering it follows the arrest of fellow castmate, Jen Shah. Jen was arrested for money laundering and fraud along with her assistant, Stu earlier this year, and due to the federal charges the Bravo star is currently facing, fans have been calling her out to be fired by the network.

Well, as the Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City readies for what is set to be the most dramatic season yet, fans are excited to meet newbie, Jennie. Considering all eyes are on the new girl, it's only fair to get an inside look into who exactly Nguyen is, and what she has in store for this upcoming season.

8 Jennie Is A Fan Of 'Housewives'

Prior to joining the second season of the Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City, Jennie Nguyen was a big fan of the first season. Considering most of her time is spent at home with her children, the star revealed that she binged the very first season and instantly fell in love.

"I watched the first season. I loved the ladies, I think they're all wonderful ladies. I just wanted to be part of that group. You're at home doing nothing and you're like, 'You know what? Maybe I need a few friends in my life.' So I joined the group," Jennie told E! Online.

7 She's Good Pals With Lisa Barlow

When it comes to newer additions to the Housewives franchise, it's safe to say that the newbie always knows at least one housewife before entering the group. In Jennie's case, that one housewife she knew before filming was none other than VIDA owner, Lisa Barlow.

The two go way back as their boys go to school together, making Jennie's arrival in the group a seamless one as she had Barlow to show her the ropes. Although she knew Lisa, Jennie made it clear she didn't know any of the other ladies, and that we'd have to stay tuned in order to see who she clashes with and who she gets on great with.

6 Jennie Is From Vietnam

As Bravo continues to finally expand their horizons and cast real-life housewives of all different backgrounds, Jennie made the perfect addition to RHOSLC. Not only is she set to start some drama in the upcoming season, but Jennie also had quite the past. Nguyen reigns from Vietnam where she experienced some major hardships, especially when her family left Vietnam when Jennie was 7 years old.

"When I was very little, my family escaped Vietnam because if you stayed there, you were pretty much dead," she explained. Jennie and her family were then captured by Thai pirates and put into a refugee camp where they were then brought over to the United States by the Church, and have remained in the U.S since.

5 She's Married With 3 Kids

Although the Real Housewives no longer requires you to be married or a mother to be cast on the show, that isn't the case for Jennie Nguyen. Jennie and her husband, Dr. Duy, who is a chiropractor in Salt Lake City, have been together for nearly 25 years.

The duo dated for almost 8 years before Jennie said "yes" to marrying Duy. During their time together, the duo have expanded their family with 3 kids, all of whom are expected to be featured in season two of the series.

4 However, Jennie Doesn't Want More Kids

Although having three kids is enough for Jennie, it doesn't seem to be enough for Dr. Duy. The star and her hubby have been at odds recently when it comes to having more kids. During the season two trailer, Jennie and Duy can be seen discussing the topic at hand, even going as far as Duy suggesting a sister wife carry their next child. While he is adamant about having more children, Jennie is remaining firm in her choice to leave it as the three they already share together.

3 She Was Originally Cast As A "Friend Of"

According to a number of reports, Jennie Nguyen was initially meant to join the cast as a "friend of" this season. Considering her close relationship with Lisa Barlow, it was expected that Lisa would bring her into the group on several occasions, however with Jen Shah's arrest happening so soon into filming, Bravo reportedly cast her as a full-time star.

It was a similar situation for fellow RHOSLC star, Mary Cosby, who was initially set to be a "friend of", but ended up joining the cast full-time, and boy are we glad she and Jennie did.

2 She Once Owned Medical Spas

While we still don't know too much about Jennie Nguyen's career, we do know that she previously owned a number of medical spas within the Salt Lake City area.

We're certain Jennie goes more into detail regarding her past career, however, what we do know is that she sold her spas years back, mainly to spend more time with her kids. Luckily for Jennie, Dr. Duy is able to support the entire family, allowing her to have sold her businesses, and now, sign on for Real Housewives!

1 Jennie Is Now A Stay-At-Home Mother

After she sold her medical spas, Jennie opted to be a stay-at-home mother for her three children. This not only allowed her to have the time to spend with her kids, but it allowed Jennie to join the show! "I decided to be a stay-at-home mom, so I figured, you know what, since my children are heading back to school, maybe I'll take on a challenge and be on the show," she shared with E!
