Spider-Man is one of the Marvel movies that has been rebooted numerous times. Currently, Tom Holland is Spider-Man, and fans don't have to sit through origin stories once again. Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home saw Peter Parker trying to live his life as a normal teenager in school, while also being the most popular superhero in his universe.

Spider-Man: No Way Home, the third installment of the franchise is coming this year, but fans are still wondering what this movie is going to be about, since no trailer has dropped yet.

This Spider-Man adaptation has incorporated the other Avengers in the movie and pushed Tom Holland into stardom. What kind of adventures will Peter Parker and his friends get up to in this movie? Is there actually a multiverse happening?

*WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU DID NOT WATCH SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME*

7 Where The Second One Left Off

Peter's spider senses were tingling when his real identity was revealed. Far From Home ends with Spider-Man taking MJ for a webswing out in New York City, but any Marvel fan knows, the real ending is the mid or post-credit scene. The mid-credit scene shows them landing and MJ suggesting they never do that again, but they are interrupted by a news broadcast.

A video clip from Spider-Man and Mysterio's last confrontation appears on the screen, and it is edited to show Parker ordering Mysterio's drone to kill people, but that is not what happened and someone hacked the footage. Then Mysterio outs Spiderman as Peter Parker. Also, J. Jonah Jameson returns. There are questions on if Mysterio actually died or not.

6 When It's Coming Out

5 What 'No Way Home' Will Be About

Not much is known about the plot of the third installment, but from the title and the last movie fans can suspect. "No way home" suggests Parker might be stuck somewhere, maybe in another multiverse and cannot get back home to his New York City and his life. He is also most likely going to be following repercussions from Mysterio revealing his identity, and people might be on the hunt for him. There are also rumors that he teams up with other Spider-Mans to fight the sinister six.

Tom Holland told Fandango, "People know Peter's identity. People now think he's a villain, Mysterio plays one last trick on him and succeeds... [so that] means everything's different. Where it goes, we'll see. But it's exciting that it once again sets us up for a Peter Parker story that has never been done before on film."

4 Old Characters From Past Spider-Mans Might Come Back

Of course, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon and Tony Revolori are all coming back, but there might be an even bigger cast and many surprises.

The biggest rumor of all is that Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man will enter into the multiverse and help Tom Holland's Spider-Man fight the Sinister Six. However, that has not been confirmed by any of the actors and has even been denied by Holland and Garfield, but we all know Tom Holland can't keep a secret right?

However, Alfred Molina, who played Doctor Octopus, or Doc Ock, in Maguire's Spider-Man franchise was confirmed to come back, calling his appearance the "worst kept secret in Hollywood." Also, Electro, played by Jamie Foxx in Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man 2, has bemen confirmed to coe back. J. Jonah Jameson has to be coming back as he made a cameo in the second movie, right?

As for rumors, Willem Dafoe is supposed to be coming back as The Green Goblin and Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson, both from Toby Maguire's Spider-Man movies. Also Charlie Coxx is rumored to be back as Daredevil and Benedict Cumberbatch is set to be Doctor Strange.

Tom was having a barbecue at his house, and Harry went up to the director, Jon Watts ans asked him when he was going to be in the movie. So now, Tom will have to catch his own brother as he plays a bank robber in the movie.

2 A Trailer Hasn't Dropped Yet, But Fans Are Convinced It Will Soon

Despite the title being revealed in February and the movie coming out in nearly months, there has not been a trailer released yet. Many fans were convinced that the trailer would drop on Tom Holland's birthday or when the Phase Four sizzle reel was dropped, but all they got was the logo. It could also premiere in theaters before the Black Widow movie, which would not be shocking. The plot has been very hush hush, and it leaves fans to wonder why and what exactly this third movie will be about. They are still convinced a trailer will drop any day without warning.

1 Tom Holland's Contract Is Up After This Movie

In February 2021, Tom Holland said No Way Home was the final film under his contract with Marvel and Sony, but that he would continue to play Spider-Man in the future if asked. Sony and Marvel finally reached a deal to keep Spider-Man in the MCU. Disney now owns Marvel, and there have been fights to get the rights to Spider-Man for years.

“[Spider-Man 3] would be my last one [under contract] so I’ve always said to them if they want me back I’ll be there in a heartbeat. I’ve loved every minute of being a part of this amazing world. It’s changed my life for the better, I’m so lucky to be here. If they want me back I’ll be there, if they don’t I will walk off into the sunset a very, very happy person because it’s been an amazing journey," Holland told Collider.
